Happy Thursday!!! This is my last post until Monday. Tomorrow at this time I will be in VT with 11 friends for a weekend of stamping! We stay in a small Inn where they set up tables in the living room and we basically live in there for 2 1/2 days. The only time we leave is to catch a few hours of sleep and to eat. The 2 guys who own the Inn are terrific cooks. When we are not talking stamping, we are trying to find out what they are making for the next meal! It is so much fun. Stamping and being waited on.....What a life.....We did this last October and were already planning this trip before we left. The only part of this I don't like is packing. I know I am forgetting things but can't figure out what! I just hope that whatever I forget, someone else will remember.

I made this card for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. I really liked the sketch this week. While I was packing up I came across this SU set that I have always liked. It's easy to color and seems to look good no matter what you want to do with it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. You will see alot of new things from me next week!

Rory

Happy Sunday! We are having a gorgeous weekend here in the Northeast. The temps are in the 80's. I have all my windows open and I am enjoying every minute of it before it gets too hot and I need to turn my AC on!

Meet Rory! He is one of the Sugar Nellie stamps I bought. I was drawn to him because he reminds me of me. Every Spring I plant flowers and then I watch them for weeks waiting for them to grow. I water them, feed them and baby them. Some years it goes well and some years it doesn't. It's still too soon for me to plant but I'll be at the Nusery in Mid May if the weather is good.

I made this card for Kerry's Thursday Challenge. It gave me a perfect excuse to use one of my new stamps. I originally said I was not going to use them until our stamping weekend so I would have alot of new rubber to play with but my Sister and I received our High Hopes order on Friday so I have enough to play with next weekend. If you have never ordered from High Hopes before, the wait can be long to get your stamps. We were not sure we would get them in time especially because we have been reading how behind they are and they just had a new release last weekend. I called them and they made sure we had them to bring. Their stamps are soooo cute.

Thank you for visiting. Let me know what you think of Rory!

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a good week. The weekend is in our sights! The weather is getting better too!

The rest of my Sugar Nellie stamps showed up today. YEAH! I can't wait to use them! I'm trying to hold off until we go away next weekend so I will have new stamps to play with. It's so hard to do though......

I made this card for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. I had colored this image from my Clear Art Stamp set and put the flower soft on it last week but didn't know what I was going to do with it. I thought of it immediately when I saw the sketch. I am still trying to figure out if I like Flower Soft. I see it on so many cards and love it but when I use it I'm not sure I like it. I look at it like my cooking, everyone elses meals taste better than mine!

I hope you like my card. Thank your for visiting!

3CTC9, Sponging

Happy Tuesday everyone. It is a cool, rainy day. I am finding it hard to get motivated to do anything.

This is my card for Kerry's Thursday Challenge. This week was to make a card using a Technique. I love techniques and decided I wanted to play with my Color Box Mica Magic re-inkers. I bought them last year at one of the conventions we went to. I have played a little with them and was not happy with the outcome. This time I just sponged the background with Purple, Blue and Pink on glossy CS until I liked the outcome. It is so easy to do. I forgot how much I like this kind of background now that I use the cuttlebug and DP so much.

I know the dandelions are hard to see. IRL they are not as light, I just had a hard time taking a picture or scanning this card. I finally made the card darker so you could see them.

Thanks for visiting. Let me know what you think!

Good Morning! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a good week. Did you get your taxes done? I have been really busy the last couple of days so I can't wait for the weekend! I really need to start thinking about what I am going to bring to Vermont for the weekend of stamping. I have a pile of stamps pulled out but have not decided what's coming yet. I got my 1st Sugar Nellie stamps today! YEAH!! I love new rubber!

This is the card I made for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. Isn't this little guy cute!
I love this DP from SU but really had not found a card that I wanted to use it on until now. I like the combo of Rose Red and Pink but don't use it much.

Well I hope everyone has a good day. Thanks for visiting.

Regards,
Peggy

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I spent the day with family. We make things really easy for Dinner by going to a restaurant. I love it when other people cook and clean for me! Not to mention they do a better job than I do.

I made this card for Kerry's challenge. I love all the colors in the challenge but I had a difficult time using them all together. When this happens I usually go simple. That's what I did with this card. I colored the flowers on the DP so it would pull the Rose Red and So Saffron into the paper.

Well I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Mine is going well so far but I have a dentist appointment in a couple of hours which is not fun!

Thanks for visiting. I hope you like the card.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I am looking outside and it is pouring rain. It is only 39 degrees. Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny but only a high of 44 degress. Not exactly weather I think of for Easter. What ever happened to the warm Easters? It seems every year it is cold. Maybe it was always cold but I was younger and it just seemed warmer?

This is the card I made for my Mother. The fist card I made and gave to someone was to my Mother on Easter. I don't even remember how many years ago it was. Maybe 5? If someone had told me I would still be making cards I would not have believed them. I have a closet full of "crafts" I never stuck with. This one is definetly addictive.

I bought this clear Penny Black set because I thought this bunny was so cute. After I colored her and stickled the flowers on the hat I thought it made the Prima's seem dull so I put shimmerz on them. I really like the Happy Easter. I bought it in the $1 bin at AC Moore. You can't beat the deal.

Thanks for visiting. I hope everyone has a Happy Easter.

Happy Spring!

How's everyone's week going? Mine is going well. I have been pulling out all my spring stamps so I can figure out what to bring when my sister and I go with some friends on a Stamping Weekend to Vermont! It's 3 weeks away and I can't wait. I do hate the packing though. It's really hard to decide what I will want to work on. I am waiting for a High Hopes shipment which I do not know if it will arrive on time, and I have placed 2 orders with Sugar Nellie, one just an hour ago, which hopefully will be here by the time we leave.

Do you have a stamp set that you always go to at the beginning of a season? I bought this stamp when a LSS was going out of business. Because it is so big there's not alot I can do to mix it up but I always reach for it each spring. I just love the stamp. I usually do it in pastels so I decided to do it in copics for a brighter card. Then I added shimmerz for some pop.

I hope you like it. Happy Spring!!

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Tuesday. Well, the Red Sox did get rained out yesterday but they are re-scheduled for today. GO SOX !!!!...

Last night I was impatiently waiting for some #'s from some people at work to get my portion done and submitted for a Tuesday AM meeting so I decided to work on Mary Jo's sketch challenge. Needless to say I waited a long time so I got the card done!

I am loving all the SU DP paper I got in my last order. The colors are great.

I embossed the boots and then decided I didn't love the flowers that come with the boot set so I pulled out my Rubber Stamp Tapestry. RST sets are so versatile. I love them.

Well I hope you all have a great Tuesday. Let me know what you think of the card. I loved the sketch this week.

Sparkle

Good Morning! It's suppose to be Opening Day for the Red Sox today but we are suppose to get a bad rain storm this afternoon so even if they start they probably won't finish the game. I'm bummed. I am a HUGE Red Sox fan and I look forward to the season starting. Hopefully this won't be a sign of the season. At least this year they are starting in the US. Last year Opening Day was in Japan.

It is still cool here but we are seeing signs of Spring so I am pulling out some "Spring" stamps. This isn't a stamp but a brass stencil that I really like. I used paste and then glittered it. I don't use regular glitter much anymore but SU makes the best. It really sparkles.

Michael's had the cuttlebug photo corners on sale. This would not be something I would usually buy but I am glad I did. They are smaller than the SU punch so it gives me more options. I find myself using them alot.

I hope you like this card as much as I do. Please let me know what you think.

Good Morning! My Friend Michelle gave me this image because I liked the stamp so much. Isn't he cute! I couldn't wait to use it before it got lost in my messy craft room. I was happy that it fit with Mary Jo's sketch.

IRL you can see that all the chocolate is covered with Crystal Effects. Those who know me know that I am a chocoholic. Everytime I look at this card I want to eat something chocolate. I guess I should send the card out so I don't put on 20 lbs.

I am so happy it it is the weekend. I haven't had anytime to make cards so I hope to just sit for a few hours this weekend and create! The weather isn't suppose to be great so I won't be tempted to go out much.

I hope everyone has a great day! I hope you like my card. Thanks for visiting.
