BBB

Here is my card for Kerry's Brown, Blue and Button challenge. I had just received this paper in my Stampin Up order. It is a beautiful package of paper so my biggest decision what which pieces to use!

There is very little stamping involved in this card. I saw a card in a magazine with hearts coming out of an envelope and thought it was cute. This is my take on it. I also lucked out in finding buttons that matched the blue paper.

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday. It's a beautiful, sunny day here but the next 2 are going to be a mess with Snow, Sleet and Ice. I have spent my day washing walls to prepare for painting. I am not having alot of fun. It's beyond me how people can enjoy this stuff. I would rather be stamping any day of the week!!! I thought I would post this before going out and running any errands I need to do before the snow falls.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine is crazy. I am so busy at work, I am having some rooms in my house painted, and I have to go to the dentist in a little while. I had hoped to get this posted last night but seem to be having some problems. I don't know if it is my computer or changes in blogger.

This is the card I made for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. I have been trying to use some stamp sets that haven't seen ink in a while and this one from Outlines is one of them. I have always liked Outlines stamps and have a few of them but since I am not an expert with the exacto knife I don't tend to reach for them first. Since I used circles on my sketch a couple weeks ago I mixed the squares and circles this time.

Well gotta run...too much on my plate today.

Welcome

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. This is the last day of my vacation. Tomorrow I go back to work. Of course, I'm not complaining. I'm glad I have a job to go back to.

I made this card for Kerry's first challenge. I had bought the DP on my last SU order to give me a really good reason for using some colors I don't usually put together. I like this combo. I may need to buy another package of this paper. I have some more DP coming tomorrow that I bought for the same reason. You will be seeing some different color combo's coming up soon.

When I made my card with Flower Soft below I had pulled out a Rubber stamp tapestry set and I had so much fun using it I pulled out a different one to make this card.

I can't wait to see what Kerry comes up with next. You should go over to her site and see what everyone else did with this sketch. There are some amazing cards by very creative people.

Wishes

Happy Friday! I'm having a very lazy day today. No housework, no painting, just playing with my stamps. I'm glad I got to have one day of nothing on my vacation.
I woke up to more snow on the ground so I wanted to pick something light. I don't use Soft Sky much (not sure why, I like the color) and it went well with my DP so then I went to my stamps to see what to use with it. I thought this tree went well with the paper. I used my sky template on the background. This template was one of those things I picked up at a convention and I love it! It's nice to be able to add sky to the background and it is easy to use.

Well, after a break to eat some leftover cake from the Cheesecake Factory, I'm heading back upstairs to finish a St. Patty's day card I have started. Check back soon!

Good Afternoon! I have finished this weeks sketch challenge. I love the sketch this week. Mary Jo did a great job picking this one out. I used one of my favorite stamps by Impression Obsession and my Hello from Clear Art stamps fits perfectly. The minute I saw the sketch I knew that my Memory Box paper would be perfect. I can see me using this sketch again.

I'm on vacation but I'm not getting as many cards done as I thought I would. I keep getting distracted with other projects I wanted to get done around the house. Not that I'm getting alot of those done but....

I hope you enjoy the card.

Red, White and Blue

Happy Monday everyone! I know it's been a while since I posted. Today is the 1st day in a week that I have had a chance to relax and make a card. I am on vacation this week so I hope to find alot of time to make cards so keep watching!

I went shopping Saturday with some friends and bought Flower Soft and wanted to try it. This is my first attempt. I like the 3D effect it gives. I thought it would add to my Rubberstamp Tapestry sets so I pulled out the 1st one I saw to play with.
I bought the kit with the Bright colors and my sister bought the Pastel colors and we are going to share. I love having options when creating my cards and this gives me one more to choose from.

If you have any suggestions on using Flower Soft I would love to hear them. Please leave me a comment and let me know.

Well this week I had a real easy time with Mary Jo's Sketch. I had colored this image Sunday and was still thinking about what to do with it so I so happy to see it fit with the sketch.

I colored with Copics and added SU Glitter to the lacey parts. Then, of course, it needed pearls! When I put the flowers on the card they looked drab so I pulled out my shimmerz and painted them. This is the 1st time I have done this and I see me doing it more. I think they look great with the card.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog. Let me know what you think!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I finally finished my card for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. This one was hard for me. I kept thinking "it needs more". I can't remember the last time I made a long thin card and every time I looked at it I thought it looked empty.

I love the colors in this paper from SU. I also wanted to use my new MS punch that I bought last weekend. Between the coupon from AC Moore and a GC I had I got it free. YEAH!! I love Free! The only problem with it is that it is very difficult to punch thru SU CS which I use alot. If anyone has any tips on how to get it to work please let me know. I have tried the Wax Paper and Reynolds wrap but no luck.

The last couple of weekends I have been really busy so I have not had alot of time to make cards. This weekend I have no plans so I hope to be really creative!

Thanks for visiting!

Magical Snowman

Happy Tuesday!! I have been really busy the last few days and have not had alot of time to stamp. Last night I decided to take a little time and play. When I bought this snowman stamp last Fall I thought it would be perfect to use with my masking tape. I made a card a few months ago and sent it out without scanning (oops) so I thought I would try it again and try to fix what I didn't like about the 1st one.

I like plaid and the Eclipse masking tape makes it easy because you can make it any color you like and are not limited by the colors in the DP. You can keep it and use it over and over again.

The one problem I had was that I had to use the largest nestie around the snowman so I had to pull out my coluzzle and the sizes didn't match up as I would have liked. I thought for a second about freehanding it but quickly decided against it. Thus the dots.

Let me know what you think! Thanks for looking!
