Happy Easter again......

Good Morning. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's cold here this weekend. We had snow flurries Friday morning. It's hard to believe Easter is next weekend.

Today is the Stempeltraume challenge. The theme this week is Easter. I love making Easter cards. I love the soft colors and it really gets me in a Spring mood. This year more than most because Easter is early. The other DT's on this team do some amazing cards. You really should stop by and check them out. Better yet, play along with us. We love to see everyone participate!

The other challenges this fits are:

Sew Many Cards - Punches - I love punches! There are some great one's out there. I have now run out of room to store all of mine.

Dare you to Digi - Easter - My digi image is from Sew Many. I love all her bunnies.

Annabelles - Sketch - I really liked this sketch and I thought it would really fit the image because it looks like the bunny is looking up at the flowers.

Color Create - Choice of Pastels - Great theme! I love pastel colors!!

Little Red Wagon - Inspiration - Lt Blue, Pink, White - I loved the soft look of the inspiration picture and thought my card had a soft look with the light Blue, Pink and white.

Incy Wincy Designs - Easter or Spring - Yes, it is that time of year. I am ready to use more of my lighter copics!

Crafty Cardmakers - Spring into Spring - I am jumping head first into spring this year. I am ready to pull out all my spring stamps.

Stamp with Fun - Easter - I could probably make many more Easter cards but I don't have the time.

Everybody Art - Easter - Great minds think alike. Not surprisingly there are alot of Easter challenges and I am thrilled. I wish I could make a card for each one of them.

Practical Scrappers - Use something you have not used in over a year. Mine is the border punch. I bought this punch a couple years ago. I like it but I don't use it often. I am trying to not use the same punches on every card so this gave me the perfect excuse to pull out an old one.

Jacksonville Embellishments - Easter or Spring - I love all these Easter/Spring Challenges! They are fun and easy

Thank you for stopping by. Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment. I look forward to reading all of them.

Relaxing Day

Good Morning! Today is Scrap-Creations Going Grey Challenge. Today's theme is to create a Spring card and, as always, use Basic Grey paper!! You need to check this out. The other DT's did great work and this is a fun challenge. I had such a hard time figuring out what stamp to use. I am itching to use all my spring stamps. The fact that the weather last week was beautiful (I opened my windows for the 1st time in 5 months) does put you in the mood to create Spring cards.

I finally decided on this stamp by Sugar Nellie. I love all of these delicate girly stamps. I love this color combo also. I bought the blue flowers at Michaels and wanted to use them so that was how the color scheme started. I was thrilled when I found this Basic Grey paper that compliments it so well.

The other great challenges this card fits are:

Magical Crafts - Spring/Easter - YEAH....Making this card for Spring really puts me in the mood to pull out all my short sleeve shirts! Love the challenge.

Incy Wincy Designs - Spring/Easter - Great minds think alike. I think everyone is in the mood for spring to arrive!

Crafty Cardmakers - Spring into Spring - Any day now we will be able to believe the nice weather is going to stay!!

Crafty Catz - Spring - I love it when everyone is on the same page!

Secret Crafter - Spring has Sprung - With the nice weather we had last week I think Spring has Sprung here!

Annabelles
- Blue/Green - This is a great color combo for Spring. Great Idea

Pals Paper Arts - Sketch - I liked this sketch! I knew I could work with it for this image.

Handful of Stamps - Remove the Dust - How cute is this? I don't know the definition of old but if you look at my credit card lately I would say this stamp that I have not used since last summer is considered old. Writing this scares me a little but I deserve all my new stuff!!

Thank you for stopping by. Thank you to everyone who leaves me a comment I really do treasure them!

It's Sunday so that means it is time for the Stempeltraume challenge. They have great themes. For those of you who like challenges you need to check them out. I loved the theme this week. Happy St Patty's Day

Good Morning! It Tuesday so it's time for Scrap Creations Going Grey Challenge. This weeks theme is St. Patty's Day! For those of you who don't know about this great challenge, every Tuesday Kristen posts a challenge. Each challenge will have a theme and the only requirement is that you use Basic Grey paper. For me this requirement is easy. I love BG paper!! You should check it out!!

This is a freebie image from Dustin Pike. It was a really fun image to color. The hardest decision I had was which BG paper to use. We wanted to see what they had for the new dies. Of course, while there we bought alot of other stuff.

Other Wonderful challenges my card fits are:

Happy Easter

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We had alot of rain here in the Northeast. The good news is that is stayed as rain. This time of year we can still get snow and we would have gotten alot with this storm.

This is my first Easter card. I fell in love with this Halen image from Sew Many. I just love the hat and pearls. I couldn't wait to use it. I knew this would be the start of my 1st Easter Card. I had to modify the sketch a little to add my Happy Easter. I didn't have alot of the Purple DP so I didn't want to risk stamping right on the paper and having it come out crooked or not stamp evenly.

The wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Sew Many - Easter

Friday Sketches - Sketch

Paper Sundae - Easter

Stamping B's
- Easter/Spring

Tanda - Simply Spring

By the Cute & Girly
- Spring is in the Air

Bee Crafty - Spring

Stamp Scrap & Doodle - Purple or Pin, Ribbon, Button

Townscrapper - 3 Buttons

Thanks for stopping by. Thank you to everyone who leaves I comment. I truly love reading all of them.

Celebrate!

Happy Sunday! Don't you love weekends! Since it is Sunday, it is time for Stempeltraume's weekly challenge. This week was a sketch. I really liked it. It was simple with alot of potential. Check it out! Play along! Win some prizes!

I choose to use this Greeting Farm stamp. I bought it as a XMAS present to myself. I thought she looked like a spring stamp even though she is holding apples which says fall. It looks to me like she is ready to do some baking. I really couldn't figure out what to put as a saying so I decided that she could be baking something like a apple cake or pie to celebrate a birthday, new home etc. I know, corny but I guess I am in a corny mood. I am really not creative when it comes to sayings that someone else does.

In addition to Stempeltraume's challenge this card fits the following great challenges. I really like seeing the ideas people are coming up with.

Paper Cutz - Anything Goes - I love the generic challenges!

Cute Card Thursday
- Celebrations - What do you think? What would you use an apple pie to celebrate? For me it could be as simple as it's the weekend!

Creative Card Crew - Celebrations - I was going to put Celebrate Today but when I told my sister she looked at me like I lost my mind so I thought better of it.

Crafty Cardmakers - Feminine Celebrations - Neat theme - Isn't usually the women that think Food is a great idea for celebrations?

Quixotic - Altered Greeting Farm Stamp - I love my white pen. I used it today to put dots on her apron. Love this theme!

Practical Scrappers - White Pen - As I said earlier, I love my white pen. I could find a way to use it on just about any card I make.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you like my card. Thank you to everyone who comments. I love reading them.

Congratulations!

Good Morning!! I have some more exciting news! Kristen from Scrap Creations has decided to run a weekly challenge! It will be called Going Grey with Scrapcreations! Every Tuesday she will post a challenge with a theme. You will then make a card with that theme using Basic Grey paper. Today is the 1st challenge. The theme is Celebration in honor of celebrating this exciting new endeavor. You will have until the following Monday at 6 PM EST to participate. Hopes Stamps Eternal has kindly offered to sponsor this weeks challenge. One lucky winner will receive a pack of kioshi, and Green at Heart Basic Grey paper!!! These are new Basic Grey 6 x 6 paper packs that I am drooling over. I can't wait to get them and you could win them!

Kristen has asked me to be a part of her DT team. I am honored. She has put together a team of very talented ladies. You really need to check them out.

Last Saturday some friends got together to stamp at my friend Pia's house. Pia pulled out alot of her new stamps and I thought this Penny Black would be perfect for Kristen's first challenge. I wanted the stamp to Pop so I glittered the animals and put crystal effects on the balloons. The stamp turned out to be bigger than I thought and I was concerned it wouldn't fit on my card but it just made it.

I was so concentrated on my 1st card for the challenge I only found a couple other challenges this fit.

Truly Scrumptious - Sketch. I really liked this sketch. I thought I would be cute with this image.

Cupcake Craft - Flower Power. I have my flowers on the bottom, small flowers in the grass and flowers on my DP.

My Time to Craft - Kidz Kardz - This card would be such a cute kids birthday card

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card. I love hearing what you think. I read and cherish all your comments.

Better Things in Life

Good Evening! I have some exciting news. I have been asked to join the DT team for Stempeltraume challenge blog. I am so excited!! I love their themes and the other DT's do some amazing work. I hope I can live up to the expectations. Check out their challenges. I'm sure you will be as impressed as I am.

The first theme was to make a simple card. Anyone who follows my blog knows this was a challenge for me. I love layers and embellishments and lots of them. This is my version of simple. I had bought this digi from Fred She Said. She has some beautiful flowers. If you like florals you need to check her out.

The other challenges this fits are:

Paperplay - Just because - I read this theme and I thought YES!! Taking a break from holiday cards is just what I need because Easter is right around the corner

Cupcake Craft - Round and round. You need to use circles on your project. I use circles alot now that I have all my circle choices with spellbinders. This ribbon one is my favorite.

Crafty Calendar - Flower Power- I love Flowers!!! It says spring is coming

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like my 1st challenge card. Let me know what you think. I love reading your comments.

Windy Days

Good Afternoon. I hope everyone is having a good day. As you can see by my recent cards, I am in a springy pastel kind of mood!

I was looking through my Sugar Nellie stamps to make a card for the Sugar Bowl. I saw this one and knew it was the one I would choose considering all the wind we have been having and the damage it caused.

I really liked the sketch and shabby chic theme for this weeks Sugar Nellie challenge. I have not done one in a while because there are just so many wonderful challenges out there but I couldn't resist this one. I hope I got the shabby chic correct. I look at shabby chic as elegant and a little bit of distressing whether with ink or the rough edges as I did around the image.

Thank you for stopping by. Let me know what you think of my card. I love reading your comments.
