Happy Birthday Bobby

It's my brothers Birthday next week and he is a huge sports fan so I choose this stamp from Kenny K for him.
I love these stamps!!!  They have alot of sports so there is something for everyone!  I, like so many other people, have problems making cards for men.  My next Birthday card is for my Nephew who is all grown up now.  I have no idea what I am doing for him because his mother is already using the Kenny K stamp for him.  I guess Mothers trump Aunts.

I colored him red because my brother, like me, is a Red Sox fan.  I didn't know what to do about coloring under his feet so I thought I would try to draw home plate. I then thought it looked to white so I found some sand I bought at a convention and I put that on it.  It made the entire image very long but I like the way it came out.

The challenges this card fits are:

Cowgirl Sunday - Anything Goes - I love these especially for male cards because there is no glitter pearls and bows....

Stamp Scrap & Doodle - Digi - I love my digi's.  All Kenny K's stamps are digi's so you can buy, download and color!

Incy Wincy Designs - Sketch - I didn't think I would find a sketch to use with this image so I was thrilled when I checked this one out.  It works perfectly.

Stamp with Fun - Card for Boys or Men - This is my brothers birthday card.

Stamping B - Birthday card - I have alot of birthday's coming up.  This is my 2nd one in a week.

Dutch Dare - Anything Goes - YEAH!  I love these!!

Hanna & Friends - Favorite Movie - I love so many Baseball movies, Angels in the Outfield, Bull Durham...I could go on.

Paperplay - Anything Goes-  Yippee - another easy challenge!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you like the card for my brother.  Thanks to everyone who leave me comments.  I love all of them!

XMAS in July

Wow...I can't believe it is the end of July already.  Time is flying by.  I also can't believe I have posted 3 cards in 3 days!!!  I wish I could do that more but these days I am so busy.

It's Tuesday so that means it is time for the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge!  This weeks theme is easy!  It is Christmas in July!!  The only requirement is that you use Basic Grey paper.  I love the colors in this paper pack.  A couple of weeks ago I got together with some friends to stamp and I asked them to bring XMAS stamps so I could play with something new for this challenge.  I don't remember if I borrowed this from Kristen or Pia but he is just so adorable I had to use him for this challenge.

The other wonderful challenges this meets are:

Christmas Cards all Year Round - Anything Goes - That's easy!!!!

Rosie D's - All Creatures great and small - This mouse is a little creature and I think he is so cute!!

Stamptacular - XMAS in July - Yes it is that time of year where I need to plan out my XMAS card or they will never get done.

Aud Sentiments - Choose your own XMAS sentiment - Okay, mine is corny but...... I thought he is running around letting people know to be prepared!

Stamping for the weekend - 2 DP's, 2 Flowers, 1 ribbon. - This was a great recipe.  Since I layered the flowers I counted each as 1.  I hope that is okay.

Fun with Shapes - Sketch - I didn't know how this sketch would work before I started with this but I love it!!!!   It was a perfect choice IMHO.

The Creative Cottage - Touchy Feely - I used glitter on his hat and both Flower Soft and Glass on the snow.  These are all touchy feely things to me.

Penny's Paper - Recipe - 1 Ribbon, 2 DP's , 3 embellishments - I have 1 ribbon, 2 DP's, and my 3 embellishments are the Flowers, Gold dots, and the flower soft.

Sentimental Sundays - It's all fun and games - You need to make a funny card.  I think my saying is corny enough to make people laugh.

Thanks for stopping by.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  They really make my day.

Roses for you

Good Morning.  I can't believe it is Sunday already.  My week has flown by.

Today is the Stempeltraume challenge.  Today's theme is Green plus 2 other colors.  This was perfect for me because I seem to be using Green alot lately which is strange because I normally don't like green.   This is one of by Bildmalarna stamps I bought a while ago.  I made this card at one of the days my stamping friends and I got together but never posted.  I was so busy this week I didn't know how I was going to find time to make a card for today and then I remembered this one.  Perfect!

There are not too many other challenges this card fits but I did find a few.

Hanna & Friends - Unused Stamp. - This is not only an unused stamp but an unused card!!

Your next stamp Challenge - Flower Power - I absolutely fell in love with this little boy holding the roses.  The flowers made the stamp IMHO.

Crafty Angels  - Circles and Squares - This is a great theme!  I love putting both on my cards and my card itself is square!

Thank you for stopping by.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I love all of them.

Wedding

Good Afternoon.  How is everyone's weekend going?    It continues to be hot here.  I can't wait for the first day where I can say it is cool and dry here.

My Niece is getting married in a couple of weeks and I made this card for her.  Her bridesmaids are wearing Navy so I wanted to incorporate that into the card.  I usually have a problem making mostly white cards but with my Fiskars punch and cuttlebug embossing folders this card was easy.  I used Shimmer paper to add shine to the card.  I used a saying from TLC.  They have the most wonderful sayings and fonts.  I really like the way this came out.  I couldn't get a really good picture of it though.  This is the best one of the many that I took.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Paper Sundaes - White plus one other color -  I like the elegant way this card came out using mostly white and the navy adds great contrast.

Bee Crafty- 3D - I can't even count how many pop dots I have on this card to make it stand out!

Incy Wincy Designs - Punches - I used my new fiskars heart punch on this card and my spellbinders dies (considered punches?) for the flowers.

The Shabby Tea Room - Embossing - I have alot of embossing on this card.  I did the square, the oval and the flowers.

Creative Card Crew - Die Cuts - I used my spellbinders dies to cut the flowers and the oval on this card

Stamping B's - Polka Dots - I used my polka dot embossing folder on the Oval and the Flowers.

All Sorts - Heart as the focal point - I hope my card fits this.  I love my new heart punch.  This card would not be as pretty if I didn't have that to frame the inside.  I also put the hearts hanging from the saying to add a little silver to the card.

KL Stamping - Dry Embossing - I have always loved dry embossing even before the folders.  I just love how the folders make it so easy!!!

Pile it on - Favorite things - Wow.....I used Pearls, Ribbon, Punches, Embossing folders & Flowers on this card.  All of these are my favorite things!!

Little Red Wagon - Nesties - I love my nesties!  I used the oval the the flower nesties on this card.

I Did it - Special Occasions card - I think a Wedding card fits into this category!!

Thanks you for stopping by.  I hope you like my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I really appreciate all of them.

Don't Hate Me....

Good Morning.  I hope everyone had a nice long holiday weekend her in the US.  I had alot of fun but it was HOT!!  It is suppose to be in the 90's all week.  I will not be spending too much time outside.

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  Appropriately with the weather, the theme this week is Summer.  We also have a wonderful sponsor this week, Whimsy Stamps!   They have wonderful images in Rubber and Digital!   You should play along and you can win!!!  This is an image by Chrissy Armstrong.  I think this frog is so cute.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Quixotic - Sketch - I think this sketch worked well with the papers I had picked out.

Your next Sketch Challenge - Patterned ribbon.  I used my purple polka dotted ribbon on this card.

Stamping B - Summer Vacation - Most people spend alot of their vacation in a bathing suit!

Ooh-La-La - Simply Summer - What says summer better than Bathing Suits!

Crazy 4 Challenges - 2 or more ribbons - I used green and purple polka dotted ribbon on this card.

By the Cute and Girly - Warm Summer Days - Putting on a bathing suit is definitely a popular activity on a warm summer day.

Cowgirl Sunday Challenge - Scallops & Embellishments - 2 of my favorite things!!  I thought the scallops went well this this image/sketch and I always put embellishments.  This card has the flowers, brads, ribbons.

Drunken Stampers - Summer/Vacation - Yes, putting on a bathing suit and going to the beach is probably the most popular vacation activities!

The Crafty Pad - Animals - I think this frog is so cute!  I love that Chrissy made it "Whimsical".

Creative Cottage - Summer Surprise - These days in NE is a surprise when a bathing suit isn't the best thing to wear to beat the heat.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you like my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I truly appreciate each and every one.

Dreams..

Happy 4th of July to those of you in the USA.  This is a long weekend for many of us.  I am having a good time.   Today is is suppose to be in the 90's.  AHHH...I am heading to a little seaside town and will be walking around to all the little shops.  I love doing this but I wish it was cooler.  Even there it will be 90 degrees.  I will still have fun.  I'll just need to spend more time in the air conditioned shops buying things.

Today is the Stempeltraume challenge.  This week's theme is a recipe.  3 Pearls, 3 Flowers and Lace.  I didn't have any pink lace so I picked ribbon that had little lace points at the end.  This theme was made for me!!  I love all of these and it was perfect for me to use one of my new Lily of the Valley stamps.  I just love these stamps.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Lily of the Valley - Sketch.  I love to layer so this was a great sketch for me!!

The Res-Q - Sunshine - What better than helping flowers grow than sunshine and that is why she is wearing her hat.

Fun with Shapes - Pink, Green, Brown - I love these colors on this card.

Charisma - Metal - I have the heart charm hanging from the flowers.

Crafty Calendar - Summer - I love taking care of my flowers in the summer.  I live in the NE so 6 months out of the year it is cold and you don't see flowers so I really appreciate them all summer long.

Lexi's Creations - Layers - I love layering and this sketch called for alot of them.

Crafty Creations - Ice Cream / Cakes - you can either have an image of one of these or use color as your inspiration.  I decided on color.....Strawberry & Pistachio (not that I would eat them together).

S2G - Summertime with Sparkles - The thing I love about summer is my flowers.  I love looking at them, taking care of them and (hopefully) watching them grow so that is my Summertime.  I put stickles on the flowers and on her pearls so that is my Sparkle.

A Pocket full of Posies - One for the Girls -  What is more girley and clothes and flowers.  Every girl I know likes to look pretty and have flowers around them.

Craftalicious - Cute - I fell in love with these stamps because they are so so cute.

KL Stamping - Summer - Flowers and gardening says summer to me.  I like seeing all my flowers grow.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card.  I really appreciate it and I hope you like my work.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love reading them.
