A Simple Hello

Happy Friday!  The Weekend is near!! This is the last weekend I have for the next month that I don't have something planned that will take me away from the house for at least a day.  Wow!  I'm going to relax and enjoy it!  I hope to get some coloring done and cards made!!

Last weekend I colored this new image I got from Paper Jewels.  It is one of the new Sweet Pea images by Lisa Victoria.  When I saw him I knew I had to have him.  I love the sweet, kindof goofy look on his face. I stamped 2 of them and cut out the flower and lady bug off the 2nd one and them popped them up on the original.  I purposely layered the flower so it would look like it had more petals.

The challenges this card fits are:

Lili of the Valley - Sketch.  The moment I saw this I knew it would be perfect for this image.

Stamp for the Weekend - Make someone smile.  I hope this cute dinosaur makes you smile.  He does it for me.

Stamp Something - 2 of something - I have 2 embellishments (flowers and pearl) and I used 2 stamps!

Practical Scrappers - Pattern Paper - I love PP!!!  I love PP!!!  Can I say that enough???

Pixie - Pearls - I love pearls.  I used red ones on this card

S2G - Favorite Color - I love Blue!!! I really love these blue Copic colors

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Fav Color and Glitter - Blue and I put glitter on the flower he is holding and on his wings

Thank you for visiting.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I really love to read them!

Thoughts of You

Good Morning everyone.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I spent yesterday shopping.  I work from home so I don't buy alot of dresses or even dressy things anymore.  I have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks and I don't think she would like me to show up in my regular attire of sweats or shorts.  This is the 2nd mall I have been to trying to find something I like.  I find that the older I get the more I hate clothes shopping.  This was no exception.  I found a dress but don't love it.  I would rather have spent the day at my LSS.

Anyway enough complaining.  Today is the Stempeltraume challenge.  This week is a sketch.  I loved it!!!  It was easy to do and was made for me to use my new Heartfelt Creations stamps that you can layer and make flowers.  What do you think??  This set also fits a spellbinders set so you can either use that to cut them out or cut them out by hand.  I am still having some problems lining them up so I cut these out by hand.  They were really simple.

The other wonderful challenges this fits are:

Cute Card Thursday - Someone Special - I think I am going to send this to a really good friend I worked with of mine who retired last week.   I really miss her and have been thinking about her alot this week.  I hope she is enjoying her retirement.

Pixie - Cut it out - I cut out my new flowers.  I really want to try more of this.

For Fun - Use an Old Stamp - Old is relative. Right?  This stamp is over a year old so I thought it fit.  I really like my Sugar Nellie stamps

Quixotic - Use DIY Flowers - I made these flowers and now I want to try to make others that I have not tried.

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Cut it out and pop it up.  I first thought of my image and then thought of my flowers.  I cut out the flowers and then put a pop dot between each one to give dimension.

If the She Fits - Rain or Shine - I pick Shine!!  I can't wait to be out in the sunshine planting my flowers.

Simple Doodles - You are on my mind - I love this theme!  My friend who retired is on my mind this week.  I miss talking to her.

Crafty Catz - Pearl & Petals - I made these flowers and put the pearls in the middle

One Stop - Summer Breeze - This stamp reminds me of a summer day when I am out working on my flowers.

Sweet Stampin - Get Personal - This was to make a card for someone special.  I made this for a person who was my friend at work for many years.  She retired and I want to send her something to say I miss her and I'm thinking of her.

Prairie Fairy Fridays - Flowers - This was easy.  I love flowers on my cards.  I don't care if they are stamped, silk or paper

Something Completely Different - Flowers - Yes it is the time of year for flowers!!!  Can't wait to plant mine.

Thank you for stopping by.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a message.  I really enjoy reading them.

Sweet Kisses

Good Morning everyone.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  I have had an awful headcold.  I usually get one bad cold a year and I never had one this winter.  I guess my body decided it would surprise me and wait until Spring.

Today is Tuesday which means Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  This week is a sketch.  When I started this card I wasn't sure I would like it but I ending up loving how it came out.  You can use any image you want as long as you follow the sketch and use Basic Grey paper.  Come and join the fun!

Take a look at what the other creative DT's did.

Lisa Summerville (guest designer for April)

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

One Stitch at a Time - Flowers- I found these crocheted flowers I bought a couple years ago.  I thought they would look so pretty with the little roses laying on top of them.

Nutshells - Spring Theme - I have alot of birds around my home.  I can tell it's Spring because they sing all day long.

Raise the Bar - Favorite Color - I thought that if I did this challenge it would be Blue but Sunday I got together with some friends for a day of stamping and at the end of the day I looked over at the cards I made and every one was PINK.  I couldn't believe I made all the cards the same color. I guess Pink was my favorite color that day.  Actually looking back on my blog, Pink is a favorite alot.

Res - Q - Inspiration - This was a neat challenge.  They linked you to umbrellas for sale and you needed to pick one for your inspiration.  I went right to the one called Pink Flamingos!

Crafty Cardmakers - Desert Island.  This was fun.  The challenge was if you were marooned on a desert island for 6 months what crafty items would you take.  I went for a day of stamping on Sunday and had all my MUST HAVES with me even thought I would always like to pack up my entire room.  What came with me was CS, DP, Flowers, ribbon, brads, pearls, all my nesties and cuttlebug folders.  This is, of course in addition to stamps and copics to color them.  I brought a bunch more stuff I can't think of right now but the items above are my fav's.

Creative Belli - Die cut shapes - What did we ever do without nesties!!  I love all of them and the ovals and scallops fit this card perfectly

Penny's - Anything Goes - This is a new challenge that I found.  I'm glad they had an open theme so I could participate.

Well I'm going to keep this short.  My head is all cloudy and I need to take some more drugs.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love reading them.

Laundry & Housework & Children

OH MY!! Don't you love this saying! My sister, Mary, told me about this great website called Create with TLC which has wonderful sayings. Many of them are free, this being one of them. I knew the moment I saw this that I had to color this Greeting Farm image.

I had problems matching papers with the colors I chose for her dress. I hate when I can't find the right papers for my copic colors but I loved the way this image came out. I wanted dust to be coming from her duster so I put some stickles on it. I don't know about you but my duster always has glitter on it from my card making.

The challenges this fits are:

Papertake - Cutie Pie - IMHO I think this really cute!!

My Time to Craft -Pretty Pearls - what card doesn't look good with pearls?

Magical Crafts - Animal Antics - I love this little bunny!!

One Stitch at a Time - Distressing - I don't know if it shows up on your computer but I inked the edges and roughed up the bottom CS of the image saying and side/bottom pieces.

All Sorts - Petals and Pearls - In addition to Pearls I would put flowers on every card I make if I could.

C.R.A.F.T.
- Buttons - Again, love the buttons on this card.

Roses on Paper - Layers - I don't know if I could make a card without layers.

Crafty Angels - My Favorite Things - Cute images, flowers and pearls! I love all of these on this card!

Handful of Stamps - Digi it!! I do love my digi's. Buy them, use them!!

Paper Cutz - 3 Pattern Papers - I love DP and I love when multiple fits on a card.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card. Thanks to everyone who leaves a message. I love reading all of them.

Celebrate!

Happy Sunday! Don't you love weekends! Since it is Sunday, it is time for Stempeltraume's weekly challenge. This week was a sketch. I really liked it. It was simple with alot of potential. Check it out! Play along! Win some prizes!

I choose to use this Greeting Farm stamp. I bought it as a XMAS present to myself. I thought she looked like a spring stamp even though she is holding apples which says fall. It looks to me like she is ready to do some baking. I really couldn't figure out what to put as a saying so I decided that she could be baking something like a apple cake or pie to celebrate a birthday, new home etc. I know, corny but I guess I am in a corny mood. I am really not creative when it comes to sayings that someone else does.

In addition to Stempeltraume's challenge this card fits the following great challenges. I really like seeing the ideas people are coming up with.

Paper Cutz - Anything Goes - I love the generic challenges!

Cute Card Thursday
- Celebrations - What do you think? What would you use an apple pie to celebrate? For me it could be as simple as it's the weekend!

Creative Card Crew - Celebrations - I was going to put Celebrate Today but when I told my sister she looked at me like I lost my mind so I thought better of it.

Crafty Cardmakers - Feminine Celebrations - Neat theme - Isn't usually the women that think Food is a great idea for celebrations?

Quixotic - Altered Greeting Farm Stamp - I love my white pen. I used it today to put dots on her apron. Love this theme!

Practical Scrappers - White Pen - As I said earlier, I love my white pen. I could find a way to use it on just about any card I make.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you like my card. Thank you to everyone who comments. I love reading them.

Sassy Gal

Good afternoon. I hope everyone had/is having a nice weekend. Today is a holiday at work so I can play! YEAH!! It's a nice day here so I really should go out and enjoy it before the snow tomorrow but I know I would end up shopping and spending $$ so I think I am better off staying inside.

Isn't this stamp from The Greeting farm cute!! I love her attitude. I usually like to pick out copic colors I feel like using before I pick out my paper and hope I can find something to match but this time I wanted to use some new papers I have from Memory Box so I picked the background and stripes and then decided what stamp and copics to use. I really needed to move away from all the reds and pinks from Valentines.

The challenges I found that work with this are:

Stamp with Fun - I liked this sketch and it let me use 3 dp's from my new paper.

Fussy & Fancy - Dazzle us - I hope this card does!

Incy Wincy Designs - Punch it out - I love this MS edge punch.

Lexi's Creations
- Spots or Stripes - I used my striped paper and my spots are the spots from the punch.

Pile it on - Flowers - I am hooked on these roses from Prima. They are so dainty!! I layered them on regular prima flowers. I hope they accented the flower on her hat.

Fab 'n Funky - Shabby Chic - I tried to get the shappy look with the flowers and the swirls on this card along with this image. I hope you think it is.

Paper Jewels - Cute and Girly - I recently found this stamp company and she has the cutest stamps. I saw that with their challenge you get a chance to win one and to enter you did not need to use one of their stamps, which I don't have yet. I just had to try to win.

Paperplay - A birthday card for someone special - I have a good friend a work who just had a birthday and I didn't get around to sending her a card. This is going to be her belated birthday card. I still need to figure out where to put the Happy Belated Birthday, probably inside with a friendship saying outside.

Thank you for coming by. I hope you like this card as much as I do. I look forward to reading all your comments. Thank you to everyone who leaves one.

Happy 2010

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years Eve.

I had a quiet night. I went to the movies and then dinner with one of my sisters. It was fun. I stopped the hard partying a long time ago. Now I prefer a good meal, a few laughs and some good company.

This was a free digi stamp from The Greeting Farm. I thought he was just too cute and had to color him. I'm glad to see that the wonderful people who have challenge blogs have started up again. I found that this card fits the following

Technostamper - Sketch - This was a great sketch for this card.

Kerry's Thursday Challenge - Goodbye 2009 - How appropriate!

Charisma - Celebrations - Hopefully we can all celebrate that we have a prosperous new year!

Crafty Cardmakers - Favorites of 2009 - Wow this was easy...COPICS....I had a couple in 2008 but really couldn't get a firm handle on how to use them but in 2009 I seemed to have understood them!

Frosted Designs - New Years project - I was glad to see this theme that fit this cute new years image.

Pile it on - Anything Digital - This is a free digi from The greeting farm.

Stamp Something - Use something new. This is my new (but free) Digi stamp

Roses on Paper - Favorite Coloring Medium - This was easy since I can't remember coloring an image without Copics.

I hope everyone has a fun day. I plan on watching the Bruins win today while playing in the Winter Classic (outside at Fenway Park) and maybe do a little coloring!

Thanks for looking at my card. If you like it please leave a message. I love hearing from you.
