Winter Skating

Good Morning everyone. The weekend is here!! I hope everyone has some fun things planned. I am visiting my sister, having my hair cut (wish me luck I am trying a new hairdresser) and I plan on stamping!

This is another stamp I bought from DZ Doodles. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use for Mary's Birthday card in my Post from Thursday so I bought all 3. I originally colored this in some really pretty greens and then could not find any paper to go with them. When I was looking through the challenges and saw this color combo I thought that this stamp would look great with the colors so I re-did it.

The card fits the following challenges

Crafty Ann's - Use something new - Mine is my new stamp

Creative Card Crew
- Distressing. I have not done this in a while and thought it would fit this card well.

Frosted Designs - Ink - Since I use Copics for just about everything this was interesting. I used SU ink pads to add color around the white circle and for the snowflakes.

Charisma Cardz- Color Combo - Pink, Brown, Cream, Toffee. Great Combo IMHO

PaperPlay - Precious Metal - My snowflake tied to the ribbon.

Friday Sketchers
- I love their sketches and this one is probably one of my favorites

Thank you for spending some time looking at my card. Please leave a comment if you like it. I really love reading them.

Meet Tink

Good Morning everyone! The weekend has finally arrived!!! I'm sitting here having my coffee then my sister Mary is coming over and we are heading to our LSS to pick up something she forgot to get the other day. I am then coming home to finish my Mothers Day card. A nice relaxing day.

Meet Tink. Isn't he cute! He's one of the High Hopes stamps I ordered. The minute I saw him I thought he would look cute with black (they call it coal) shimmerz. I find that it comes out better if I color it with black marker first to get a really dark black. I did the background with my cloud maker. It is probably the best thing I have ever bought at a convention. Usually I go to these things and see people making the most wonderful cards and they make it look so easy. I then buy whatever they are selling and can't make it work when I get home. So frustrating. The template for the cloud maker was different. They made it look easy and it is! It is just a stencil that you lay on the paper and rub over it with ink with a sponge or cottonball. The one I have is by Fairy Tale Creations (chalk talk 1) but there are others out there as well. My biggest problem is that I usually do light fluffy clouds that don't show up well when I scan or take a picture. I'm going to start making them darker so they show up like I did with this one.

I hope everyone has a good day. Thank you for visiting. I hope my card makes you smile like it does for me.

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a good week. The weekend is in our sights! The weather is getting better too!

The rest of my Sugar Nellie stamps showed up today. YEAH! I can't wait to use them! I'm trying to hold off until we go away next weekend so I will have new stamps to play with. It's so hard to do though......

I made this card for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. I had colored this image from my Clear Art Stamp set and put the flower soft on it last week but didn't know what I was going to do with it. I thought of it immediately when I saw the sketch. I am still trying to figure out if I like Flower Soft. I see it on so many cards and love it but when I use it I'm not sure I like it. I look at it like my cooking, everyone elses meals taste better than mine!

I hope you like my card. Thank your for visiting!

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Tuesday. Well, the Red Sox did get rained out yesterday but they are re-scheduled for today. GO SOX !!!!...

Last night I was impatiently waiting for some #'s from some people at work to get my portion done and submitted for a Tuesday AM meeting so I decided to work on Mary Jo's sketch challenge. Needless to say I waited a long time so I got the card done!

I am loving all the SU DP paper I got in my last order. The colors are great.

I embossed the boots and then decided I didn't love the flowers that come with the boot set so I pulled out my Rubber Stamp Tapestry. RST sets are so versatile. I love them.

Well I hope you all have a great Tuesday. Let me know what you think of the card. I loved the sketch this week.

Welcome

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. This is the last day of my vacation. Tomorrow I go back to work. Of course, I'm not complaining. I'm glad I have a job to go back to.

I made this card for Kerry's first challenge. I had bought the DP on my last SU order to give me a really good reason for using some colors I don't usually put together. I like this combo. I may need to buy another package of this paper. I have some more DP coming tomorrow that I bought for the same reason. You will be seeing some different color combo's coming up soon.

When I made my card with Flower Soft below I had pulled out a Rubber stamp tapestry set and I had so much fun using it I pulled out a different one to make this card.

I can't wait to see what Kerry comes up with next. You should go over to her site and see what everyone else did with this sketch. There are some amazing cards by very creative people.

Red, White and Blue

Happy Monday everyone! I know it's been a while since I posted. Today is the 1st day in a week that I have had a chance to relax and make a card. I am on vacation this week so I hope to find alot of time to make cards so keep watching!

I went shopping Saturday with some friends and bought Flower Soft and wanted to try it. This is my first attempt. I like the 3D effect it gives. I thought it would add to my Rubberstamp Tapestry sets so I pulled out the 1st one I saw to play with.
I bought the kit with the Bright colors and my sister bought the Pastel colors and we are going to share. I love having options when creating my cards and this gives me one more to choose from.

If you have any suggestions on using Flower Soft I would love to hear them. Please leave me a comment and let me know.
