Happy Birthday

Good Morning.  I hope everyone had a nice long weekend.  I did.  The weather was perfect.  Dry and in the 70's.  I did some shopping Sunday with my sisters and my niece at a nice seaside town called Newburyport.  It has small shops with something for everyone.  Saturday and Monday I relaxed and did some stamping.   My idea of a perfect weekend!!!

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  The theme today is to make a Children's themed card.  How easy is that!   We have a wonderful sponsor this week too!    The Wild Flower Patch Shop  ! So I say pull out those children stamps and play.  You can win!!

We have some other exciting news at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. We have 2 new DT's.  Kristine Breach and  Marie Bridgema.    Please visit them and give them a warm welcome.  We are excited to have them as part of our team.

The Wild Flower Patch Shop were nice enough to offer the DT's some images to pick from and I picked this clown.  I thought this would be fun to color and it was!  I also used my new Pearl Pens from Viva.  I love these.  I have 2 colors and now I want them all.  It is so easy to make pearls of any size and I love my pearls!!!  I didn't have the red so I used my white pen and colored them with copics.  I was so excited that it worked.

You should also check out the work from our other DT's listed on my sidebar.   You can see their wonderful work with the other images.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits.

Creative Cottage - Celebrations - Birthdays are a wonderful reason to celebrate.

Penny's - Birthday - I thought this clown would make a really cute kids Birthday Card.

Stamp Insanity - Birthday -  I love making kids birthday cards.  They are fun.

Alphabet Challenge - S=Scallops - I love all my spellbinders dies.  I can't remember what it was like not having them.

Crafty Catz - Recipe - 3 embellishments, 2 PP's, 1 Image -  I have the pearls, the rhinestone, ribbon, 2 DP's and my main image

Daring Cardmakers - Sapphires - Sapphires are blue and I have alot of blue on this card

Raise the Bar - URLooking Good -  What a great theme!  My Blog is called Colorful Designs and this card has alot of color so that is what I took from it.

Stamp Something - Something Cute - This clown is cute.  I'm normally not a clown person but I saw this and picked it immediately

All Sorts - New Beginnings -  Birthdays are the beginning of a new year.  It's the memories of that age that begin on your Birthday.

Speedy Cat - 5 of Something - I have 5 large red pearls on this card

Miami Doodles -Sketch - I thought this sketch would work great with the image and papers I picked out.

Pile it On - Layers - This was really easy for me because I love layers!!

Ooh La La - Stripes - The background paper has stripes on it and there is stripes to make the plaid.

Kaboodle Doodles - Inspiration - I usually pick the colors from an inspiration theme but this time I am going for patchwork.  The reason I loved this BG is because of it's patchwork them.

Moving along with the Times - Stitching - I love faux stitching.  I put it on alot of cards.

Stamp and Create - Pearls and Gems - I used my pearl pen to create all the red pearls on this card.  I put a red gem as the dot to the I to add a little red to the Happy Birthday

Stamps R Us - Childs Birthday - I love making these cards.  There are so many cute stamps (this one included) for kids birthdays that are fun to work with.

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you like my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I love all of them.

Peggy

I lOVE IT!! Your coloring is wonderful! Even though many people don't care for clowns, I always liked them (and had a collection of musical clowns) when I was growing up. I think some of them are really cute... like this one! =) Great job with your papers etc. Oh, shopping sea-side would be wonderful! Wish I was at the beach right now, LOL.
