Seeds of Friendship
Good Afternoon! I'm back from my mini vacation up North. It was great to get away. Other than all the rain we had Sunday afternoon it was a great weekend. I hope to get alot of creating done with the balance of the week I have off. Today I have spent the AM relaxing and making this card. This afternoon I have to spend unpacking, running some errands and laundry. Tomorrow my sister Mary and I are going on a roadtrip to a scrapbook store that isn't near our houses so we only get there a couple of times a year. The balance of the week is a combo of stamping and other things I have been putting off doing (hopefully more stamping than the other things).
I made this card for Mary Jo's sketch challenge. Sometimes the easy sketches turn out to be the hardest. Luckily this one was easy for me. Since I didn't have a turtle saying I decided to focus on the flowers he is holding. Once I did that the rest came together pretty easily. I also decided not to blend as much as I usually do. A card can look great until I take a picture then you don't see the muliple colors because I blended too much and there isn't enough contrast. I like the result. Do you?
I hope everyone is having a good week. If you like my card let me know.

That is adorable, Peggy!! Love what you did with the sketch. That turtle is so cute!
Are you going to A/E? Have fun!! Glad you had a nice time up north.
This card came out fantastic. That turtle is too darn cutr. I love your coloring on it, just enough blending to make it "pop". Great job Peggy!
Love your vivid colors and of course that turtle is too cute!
