Meet Tink

Good Morning everyone! The weekend has finally arrived!!! I'm sitting here having my coffee then my sister Mary is coming over and we are heading to our LSS to pick up something she forgot to get the other day. I am then coming home to finish my Mothers Day card. A nice relaxing day.

Meet Tink. Isn't he cute! He's one of the High Hopes stamps I ordered. The minute I saw him I thought he would look cute with black (they call it coal) shimmerz. I find that it comes out better if I color it with black marker first to get a really dark black. I did the background with my cloud maker. It is probably the best thing I have ever bought at a convention. Usually I go to these things and see people making the most wonderful cards and they make it look so easy. I then buy whatever they are selling and can't make it work when I get home. So frustrating. The template for the cloud maker was different. They made it look easy and it is! It is just a stencil that you lay on the paper and rub over it with ink with a sponge or cottonball. The one I have is by Fairy Tale Creations (chalk talk 1) but there are others out there as well. My biggest problem is that I usually do light fluffy clouds that don't show up well when I scan or take a picture. I'm going to start making them darker so they show up like I did with this one.

I hope everyone has a good day. Thank you for visiting. I hope my card makes you smile like it does for me.

Peggy

That is so cute, Peggy! I really need to try some clouds. You do a great job with them.

Is Fairy Tale Creations the Chalk Lady that used to be at the CKC? If so, I know her from a board I frequent. Her name is Jennifer and she's really nice. I have an old set of hers and I should pull it out.

I love the way your Tink came out. I can't wait to try coloring mine when I get a chance soon I hope!
Great job once again!
