Happy Fall

Good Morning.  I don't know about you but I can't believe it is the end of September.  The weather is getting cool and some of the trees are changing colors.  I love it!!!

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap Creations challenge.  Keeping with the time of year the theme is Fall!!  I couldn't wait to use my fall colors.  We have a great sponsor this week. Fred She Said!!!   Anyone who follows my blog knows I love her images.  Two posts ago I used one for my mothers birthday card.  Her flowers are elegant and beautiful.    She was nice enough to let the DT's pick out an image to use.  I loved this one.  I always print out 2 digi's when I first color them just in case I don't like the way one is coming out so after I colored this image I colored the sunflowers on the 2nd image and cut them out so I could put them on other places on the card.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

The Corrosive - Clean up the Dust, Use old craft stuff - My orange dots are from last year along with my saying.

Paper Sundaes - Fall Colors - I had fun pulling out my fall colored copics for this card.

Secret Crafter - Anything Goes - I love this theme!   I  know I can let my imagination run wild.

My Sheri Crafts - Autumn Colors - I'm not usually a person who uses orange alot but I don't know why because I love it on this card.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch - I love the way this sketch worked with the image.

All Sorts - 3 punches - I used a punch for the leaves, one for the circles and one for the fence strip.  I like the way they all worked together.

Stamp Something - Digi's - I love digi's and this one from Fred She Said is beautiful.

Alphabet Challenge - U=Unused Stash - My unused stash is the orange pearls, the leaf punch and the fench punch.  None of these I have used much even though I love them all.

Delightful Challenge - Pumpkins - I love coloring pumpkins and I love them on this image

Stamp Magic - Autumn Colors - I love this card and I think it is because of the colors that I have not used in a long time.

Stamping Sisters in Christ - Fall Colors - I love the change of seasons and the colors that come with it.  I loved using my oranges and greens on this card.

Paper Play Time - Autumn - I was so happy to see so many challenges that called for Autumn and everything that comes with it.

Creative Card Crew - Autumn or Fall - Yes, I love this time of year!!  Cool air and bright colors.

Everybody Art - Autumn - I love this!  Great theme.

A Spoonful of Sugar - Anything Goes - This is my favorite theme!!

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you like my card.  A big thank you to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love them all.

Friends

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  This is the last day of my vacation.  Tomorrow it is back to work but vacation was wonderful.  The spa treatments were great, the food was amazing and we got some shopping done at the outlets.  I just wish I could have stayed longer.

Today's theme at Stempeltraume is Bows!  A nice and easy theme that everyone should be able to play in.
I wanted a simple bow so I put the flat bow on the side of the card.  I was playing around with it and realized that if I made alot of little bows it would look like a flower so that's what I did.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Karber - Card for girls - I love this image from Lili of the Valley and wanted to use it.  I love the 2 little friends sharing some tea.

Papertake - Inspiration - I choose the colors of pink, blue, purple from the picture.

Tuesday Throwdown - Distressing - I distressed the CS on this card.  I thought it added some dimension the card was missing.

Creative Belli - Embellishment starting with B - I put my sparkly buttons on this card.

ABC Challenge - Distressing - I like the distressing on the CS.  I think it fits the card.

For Fun - Glitter.  My buttons have glitter in them and I put glitter on the flowers.

Sarah Hurley - Polka dots and circles - My DP and ribbon has polka dots and my buttons are my circles.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch - I thought this Sketch worked really well for this challenge/image.

Alot Rubber Stamps - Do it yourself flowers - I made my flower from the ribbon.

Raise the Bar - Something Yummy - It is getting cooler in the NE and I love to have a cup on tea on a cool day so that is my Yummy.

Ellephantastic - Handmade flowers - I made my flower from Ribbon

Thanks for visiting.  Thanks to everyone who leaves me a comment.  I love reading them.

Happy Birthday

Good Morning.  I hope everyone had a nice long weekend.  I did.  The weather was perfect.  Dry and in the 70's.  I did some shopping Sunday with my sisters and my niece at a nice seaside town called Newburyport.  It has small shops with something for everyone.  Saturday and Monday I relaxed and did some stamping.   My idea of a perfect weekend!!!

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  The theme today is to make a Children's themed card.  How easy is that!   We have a wonderful sponsor this week too!    The Wild Flower Patch Shop  ! So I say pull out those children stamps and play.  You can win!!

We have some other exciting news at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. We have 2 new DT's.  Kristine Breach and  Marie Bridgema.    Please visit them and give them a warm welcome.  We are excited to have them as part of our team.

The Wild Flower Patch Shop were nice enough to offer the DT's some images to pick from and I picked this clown.  I thought this would be fun to color and it was!  I also used my new Pearl Pens from Viva.  I love these.  I have 2 colors and now I want them all.  It is so easy to make pearls of any size and I love my pearls!!!  I didn't have the red so I used my white pen and colored them with copics.  I was so excited that it worked.

You should also check out the work from our other DT's listed on my sidebar.   You can see their wonderful work with the other images.

Live the life......

Good Morning!  I hope everyone in the US is having a good long weekend.  The weather here is beautiful!  Today I am heading to Newburyport with 2 of my sisters and my niece.  Newburyport is a little town on the water and has alot of little shops.  It will be a fun day.

This week the theme of the challenge at Stempeltraume is to make a bookmark.  With school starting everywhere this is a great challenge idea!!   My bookmark is made to put the paper end on the page you are reading and then wrap the ribbon with the charm around the back of the page with the charm hanging down for weight.  Here is a closeup of the main part of the bookmark.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Crazy for Challenges - Bookmark - I have not made a bookmark in a long time.  It was alot of fun to make this one.

Totally Papercrafts - Charms - I have charms on both end of the bookmark to give it some weight.

The Res-Q - Use your scissors - I cut out the butterfly and popped it up to give the bookmark some dimension.

Digi Doodle's Shop Best - Write me a message - I love this saying and thought it would be nice for the bookmark.

Stamping B - Charm - I like the charms I used on this.  They are flat to make sure they don't mark the pages.

Happy Halloween

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  In the US we have a long weekend coming up and I am looking forward to it!

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  Kristen loves Halloween so we are celebrating early with a Halloween challenge.  I have seen some great Halloween stamps out there this year.  This is one I got as a freebie from Create 4 Fun.  Isn't this adorable!!!!  I had a blast coloring her.  I bought this paper Saturday on my LSS outing with friends and I love how it looks with this stamp.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Crafts & Me - Petals & Pearls - I love all the recollection pearl sets because of all the great colors they come in.  I bought the Orange thinking of Halloween cards.  I didn't have orange flowers so I thought it would look nice if I made them with the DP I used on the card.  I think they look cute.

Stampavie & More - Swirls - My image has swirly vines so I thought that putting one of my spellbinders swirls on the card would be a nice addition.

Digi Doodle's Shop Best - Distressing - I haven't distressed anything in a while so when I was trying to figure out how to add some dimension I thought distressing the purple CS would look good.

Hanna & Friends - Pearls & Swirls - I love that Pearls and Swirls can work on so many cards.  I tend to put swirls on Fancy girly cards but really like how they work on this card.

Moving along with the Times - 2 PP's, 3 flowers, 1 Ribbon - I love the 2 DP's I used on this card.  I made my own flowers because I couldn't find orange and didn't want to color white ones. I knew I had to add my orange polka ribbon because I love it!

Pixie Dust - Stitching.  I could add stitching to every card.  It's easy and I think it adds alot without being over done.

Paper Cutz - Metal - I have 2 metal brads on this card.  The 1st is the spider hanging from the hat and the 2nd is the Halloween which I was thrilled fit perfectly on the corner.

Our Daily Bread - Texture It - I have alot of texture on this card.  The Purple circle is embossed, the flowers, and the Glitter.

Cowgirl Sunday - Embellish with Flowers - I made my own flowers to match the card.

Stampin Sisters in Christ - Metal - I have 2 metal items on this card.  The spider hanging from the hat and the Halloween brad.

The Sweet Stop - Sketch - I wanted a sketch that would work well with my papers and this one was perfect.

Cupcake Craft - Lets Get Digital - I love digi stamps.  They are easy to use, and I don't have to wait when I buy them.  I love instant gratification!!

Stamps R Us - Stitches -  I love faux stitching.  When I think a card needs something one of the first things I think of is putting stitching on it.

Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter & Sparkle - I love Glitter - I put glitter on the hat band, around the edges of my goo punch, on the swirl and I sprayed the flowers with glitter spray.  I'm not sure you can see all of this in my picture but IRL it looks sparkly.

Thank you for visiting and looking at my card.  I hope you like it.  A huge thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I love reading them.

Hello Friend

Good Morning.  How is everyone today?  I am enjoying my weekend.  My week at work was a blur.  Very busy which is a really good thing these days.  Yesterday I got together with a few friends and took a road trip to a LSS that is an hour away from us.  We only go there a couple times a year.  I spent more than I budgeted, but then when don't I.  I came home with some copics and lots of paper.  They actually let us look through some new DP that they hadn't even opened yet.  I bought some beautiful winter paper I can't wait to use.

This week the theme for Stempeltraume is a sketch.  I always love their sketches.  This one was no different.  You should give it a try.  It is a very easy sketch to follow.

I feel that I always use the same punches so I dug out an old punch for this card.  I can't remember who makes the punch but I like it.  It can punch 4 different ways and I like it on this card.
