Sweet Dreams

Happy Monday. It's been a while since I have posted. Last week was really busy at work and then Thursday night I lost my electricity. Friday I had to find someplace to work because I normally work from home. I got my electricity back late Friday but my sister didn't have her electricity until last night so she spent alot of time here. She isn't a crafter so I thought it would be rude to say "well have fun I'm going to make a card". Non crafter's just don't understand. LOL!

This is one of the free stamps I got from Sew Many Stamps. I love their bunnies. I have already printed some out for Easter cards.

The challenges this fits are:

Paper Sundaes - Sketch. I thought this was a cute sketch for this image

Challenge up your life - Stripes and buttons. I love this DP. It looks a little distressed but is still light.

Stamp Something - DP, Buttons & ribbon - I love all 3 so this was easy.

Sew Many - 3 Techniques - my 3 are Inking, Embossing (my flowers)and Stitching

Secret Crafter - Stitching - I like faux stitching on cards

Cute Card Thursday - Ribbon - What is a card without ribbon!!

Crafty Catz - Fancy edge and Ribbon - I love my edge punches!

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle -Sparkle and Shine - I put glitter on the blanket.

Lexi's Creations - Anything goes - Love this theme!!

Thank you for visiting. I hope you like my card. Thanks to everyone who leaves comments. They really make my day!

Hey Dude!

Wow this weekend went by fast! I can't believe it is Monday already. I managed to get 2 cards done this weekend. My sister, Mary, told me about a great website for some free digi's. It's called SJ's - Little Musings. This woman has some really adorable images and she gives them for free. I really appreciate talented people who are willing to share with others. When I saw this little guy I just knew I had to color him.

I thought this would make a great boy's birthday card. I am always looking for birthday cards for males. I tend to make cards with their sports interest but I'm sure they are sick of getting them by now. This will be a nice change.

The challenges I found for this card are:

Paper Sundays - Distressing. I find myself doing more distressing lately and I thought it fit well on this card.

Polka Doodles - Sketch. I loved this sketch and thought it would work well with this image.

My Time to Craft - Green + one - I liked this theme. One mandatory color and one of my choice. Great idea! I choose yellow.

ABC Challenge - One Paper - I wasn't sure I would do this challenge when I saw it because I am not good about using just one piece of DP but when I layed this out I realized I did only use one piece. I guess you just never know.

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Spring colors - When I saw this theme I immediatly thought Pink, Blue, Lavender but when I put this card together I thought how bright and springy it was and Yellow / Green are spring colors. I like when I can fit a challenge without going to the obvious.

Lots to do - Use a machine - I used my Cuttlebug and spellbinders to cut all 12 circles on this card.

Thanks for stopping by. Do you like my little dude? Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment. I love reading them all.

Ruff Day?

Happy Sunday! Is everyone hooked on the Olympics like I am? It is amazing what some of these athletes can do. I sit down for a minute to watch it and then find myself still watching it hours later.

I took my eyes off the Olympics this afternoon to color this image. I love Hershey in the tub. I used both glitter and crystal effects for the bubbles and the water. When I punched the bubbles out of the strip I decided they looked plain so I put crystal effects on those also to give the card a little more dimension.

The challenges my card meets are:

Sew Many - Sketch - I had a tough time with this sketch. I make square cards and had a tough time fitting everything on but I love the papers I used.

Crafty Cardmakers
- Digital - This is a digital Sew Many stamp and then I typed the saying from word.

Dare you to Digi - Punches - I love dots and bubbles so when I saw this punch last year I thought I would use it alot. It surprised me when I realized this was the first time I pulled it out. I filled the circles with crystal effects to make them look more bubbly.

Frosted Designs - Polka Dots and Plaid - I love these papers and I love both polka dots and plaids so I loved this challenge theme.

If the Shoe Fits -Mad for Plaid - I love this plaid paper and found I was hording it so I decided this was the time to use it.

Incy Wincy - Punch it out- Now that I have used this bubble punch I know I will be using it more!

Little Red Wagon - Ribbon - The saying looked lost on this card so I decided to weave ribbon through it to make it look like it fit better on the card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you like my card. I love reading all your comments. Thanks to all who leave them.

Sassy Gal

Good afternoon. I hope everyone had/is having a nice weekend. Today is a holiday at work so I can play! YEAH!! It's a nice day here so I really should go out and enjoy it before the snow tomorrow but I know I would end up shopping and spending $$ so I think I am better off staying inside.

Isn't this stamp from The Greeting farm cute!! I love her attitude. I usually like to pick out copic colors I feel like using before I pick out my paper and hope I can find something to match but this time I wanted to use some new papers I have from Memory Box so I picked the background and stripes and then decided what stamp and copics to use. I really needed to move away from all the reds and pinks from Valentines.

The challenges I found that work with this are:

Stamp with Fun - I liked this sketch and it let me use 3 dp's from my new paper.

Fussy & Fancy - Dazzle us - I hope this card does!

Incy Wincy Designs - Punch it out - I love this MS edge punch.

Lexi's Creations
- Spots or Stripes - I used my striped paper and my spots are the spots from the punch.

Pile it on - Flowers - I am hooked on these roses from Prima. They are so dainty!! I layered them on regular prima flowers. I hope they accented the flower on her hat.

Fab 'n Funky - Shabby Chic - I tried to get the shappy look with the flowers and the swirls on this card along with this image. I hope you think it is.

Paper Jewels - Cute and Girly - I recently found this stamp company and she has the cutest stamps. I saw that with their challenge you get a chance to win one and to enter you did not need to use one of their stamps, which I don't have yet. I just had to try to win.

Paperplay - A birthday card for someone special - I have a good friend a work who just had a birthday and I didn't get around to sending her a card. This is going to be her belated birthday card. I still need to figure out where to put the Happy Belated Birthday, probably inside with a friendship saying outside.

Thank you for coming by. I hope you like this card as much as I do. I look forward to reading all your comments. Thank you to everyone who leaves one.

Be Mine

Good Morning! I can't believe how fast this week went. I have been incredibly busy at work and then I was too tired at night to pull out my stamping stuff so it was fun last night to color. Monday is a holiday so I hope to get a few cards made this weekend.

I won the Sew Many challenge last week (YEAH!!) and the bears are one of the stamps I picked. They are so cute and their stamps are so much fun to color. The hearts hanging from the ribbon was their Freebie this week. This is officially my last Valentine card for 2010. I am ready to move on.

I found that this card fit the following challenges.

Sew Many - This was a color challenge. Red, Pink and White.

Truly Scrumptious - This was a sketch challenge with extra of buttons and bows. I thought the sketch worked great with this image and I found the pink flower buttons to use which match my DP.

Stamp Something - Cute - I think this image is really cute which is why I picked it for my prize. I thought this was a great challenge theme.

Daring Cardmakers
- Have a heart. This did not need to be a valentine but I love my hearts on this.

C.R.A.F.T. - Digi Coloring - I love digi's and I love coloring! Perfect theme for me!

Cute Card Thursday - In the name of love. This also did not need to be a Valentines Day card but it is Sunday...

Dutch Dare - Valentines Day - I think this is another great kids card. I tend to like making those more than adult ones.

Everybody Art - Valentines - I love my little valentine bears

My Time to Craft - Hearts and Kisses - what a cute theme name! I think my bears little heart noses may want to share a kiss.

Digital Tuesday - It's all about the animals! I saw this them and said YEAH!! I love all my new animal stamps.

Crafty Catz - Buttons and Bows - I love both buttons and bows, especially when I find buttons that are not round like my flowers.

365 Cards - 3 layers - I love layers on my cards. Depending how you count layers this can have 3 to 5

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card. I hope you like it. I love reading all your comments. Thank you to everyone who leaves one.

Doggone it!

Good Morning everyone! I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

This is one of the new Sew Many Stamps I have. I am having a great Sew Many weekend. I received their newsletter Friday night and saw that I was the spotlight blog. It was so exciting. Then I found out I won a stamp during their blog hop!! I never win anything.

I started playing with these stamps and could not figure out how to merge 2 digi's together so I printed them and cut them out. I thought this would be such a cute kids valentine. I went to lunch with a friend of mine a few weeks ago and she was babysitting her 4 year old niece. Her niece loves to stamp and color and sent me a card she made. I think this will be a really cute card to send to her. I had a tough time getting a good picture of this card. I'm not sure why. It looks dull on my computer and IRL it is really bright.

My card fits the following challenges.

Sew Many - Red, Silver, Black Valentine - I was going to use their freebee for this challenge but I saw so many beautiful cards with it and I couldn't come up with something different so I decided to go with the dog.

Totally Gorjuss - Sketch - I thought this sketch was perfect for this image

Raise the Bar - Hearts. I love my little heart punch. You can add to cards without taking up alot of space

Stamping for the Weekend - Valentine - I like making valentines that are not traditional.

Stamp Something
- Love - I love kids and I hope my friends niece loves this.

Crazy for Challenges - Valentine - I think this would be the perfect valentine for any kid who loves animals.

C.R.A.F.T. - Love - The little dog looks like he needs some love.

Charisma - Love - If a card puts a smile on someone's face, which I hope this does, then I have sent some love their way.

Paperplay Challenges - Love Notes - Sending a little "love" to a child makes me smile.

Creative Card Crew - Valentine - Kids valentines are the best! I think they appreciate them more than adults.

KL Stamping - Paper Tole - I double printed the doghouse, dog and name plate. I am not the greatest at cutting things out but I like the way this came out. I like challenges that "challenge" me.

Thank you for stopping by. I love reading all your comments. If you like my childs Valentine let me know.

Have an Ice Day

Good Morning. This week has flown by. I have been really busy at work. I did find some time to put together this card. It's nice to take a break and have a little fun.

This is a High Hopes stamp I bought last year. I like the big hat and goofy smile.

These are the challenges this fits.

Techno Stamper - Sketch - I really like the sketch this week.

Frosted Designs - Embossing - I wanted to add a little more dimension so I embossed the brown patterned paper in addition to the punched sides.

Pile it on - Enough with winter colors. Brown and Green are definitely non winter colors for me!

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Charm - My gloves

Crafty Anns - Metal - My charm is my metal

Fab & Funky - Emboss - I embossed the DP & green punched sides

The Pink Elephant - It's their 1st birthday and the challenge was to go through the last year of challenges and pick your favorite. Mine is Winter. I love making snow cards!

Incy Wincy Designs
- Put your hats on - Make a card with a hat. This theme is what had me thinking about this stamp.

Saturday Spotlight - The bigger the better. Something had to be oversized. One of the things I like about this stamp is his oversized hat.

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - This was an open challenge to do anything we like!

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card. I love reading your comments. Thanks to everyone who lets me know what they think.
