Xmas Box

Good Morning!  I can't believe how quickly XMAS is coming up!  I pulled out all my decorations this weekend.  I got all by my tree out.  I also got all my XMAS cards done but now I can't find envelopes.  Who would ever think that envelopes would be my problem!  I have been to 4 stores and noone has A4 envy's.  Now I just need to finish my shopping and plan XMAS eve.  I have my family over for drinks and snakes and we do a gift card yankee swap.  It is alot of fun.

Today is Tuesday so that means another great challenge at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.  This weeks theme is Christmas Gift or Gift Holder.  I made this box.  It gives me so many choices.  I can put a gift card in it, Jewelry or Candy!   I haven't decided yet who is going to get it.  Maybe my Mother.  I am not usually one to make anything but cards but this was alot of fun.  I can see me doing this again.  This is why I like challenges.  It makes me try things I normally would not do.

So take a break from all the shopping, parties, decorating and be creative!  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

The other great challenges this card fits are:

Lexi's Creations - Blue & Silver - I love blue's and silver so when I started making this box I reached for my blue Bo Bunny paper and the had to add the silver cording when I thought I wanted something whimsey.  I like the way it came out

Lollipop Crafts - Winter - What says winter better than snowflakes!  I love this paper and the snowflakes added to the top.

One Stitch at a Time - Old Stash / New Stash - Old on this box is my CS/Silver Cording and pearls.  New is the DP and the Crepe paper.

Totally Papercrafts - XMAS punches - I love this snowflake punch.  Of all my winter punches I would say this is my favorite.

Crafty Pad - Anything Goes - Great theme for me this week!!

The Stamp Man - 3 colors - My 3 colors are Light Blue, Dark Blue and Silver or white.

Bee Crafty - Winter, not XMAS - Snowflakes definitely say Winter!  Of course, I can wait until after XMAS for any Flakes to fall from the sky.

My Sheri Crafts - Blue & Silver - I love the blues in this DP and I think the Silver Cording added just enough to the box.

Craft your Days Away - Texture - I love my new Crepe Paper by Melissa Francis.  It adds alot of texture to the flower on the top of the box.  I want to reach for it every time I make something.

Fussy & Fancy - Anything but a card -  I usually on make cards but I had so much fun making this box I can see me doing it again.

Fun with Shapes - Everything but a card - I really like this box and the biggest decision I have is who will get their present in it for XMAS.

Paper Romance - Winter -  I love snowflakes made with punches and paper.  Nothing says winter more than snow.

Moving along with the Times - For someone special - I think having a beautiful box to put your gift in says you are special to that person.  I think the special person getting this will be my mother.

Digi Doodle Shop Best - Let it Snow - Okay but only on paper!  I love all the snowflakes on this box.

Cute Card Thursday - Blue - I love blue on winter cards so, of course, I used blue for my box.

Be Merry!!!

Happy Tuesday!!  Can you believe Thanksgiving is over and we have less than a month until XMAS??  WOW....I have so much to do....and while I know I will get everything done, I look at all my weekends and wonder how.  I hope everyone in the States had a good Thanksgiving weekend.  Mine was really full.  I had family functions all weekend long.  Usually I spend this weekend putting out my XMAS decorations but it didn't get done because all my family things were in the middle of the day and so I didn't have enough time.

Today is Tuesday so it is the Going Grey with Scrap Creations challenge!  We have a really easy challenge, Anything Goes!! and a great sponsor this week, Digi's with Attitude!   They were kind enough to give us some images to play with but I really liked this Freebie they gave last week so I decided to use this.  To see some of their other wonderful images you really need to check out what the other DT's did.  You can find their links on my sidebar.

Challenge up your Life - St Nick!  - What would XMAS be without him.

Ellephantastic - Red & Green - Yes it is XMAS when I use alot of Red & Green on my cards...

Marks Finest Papers - Bow - I needed something to put on the stripes.  I thought the gold bow fit perfectly.

Sweet Stampin - Buttons and Bows - I have the buttons on my snowflakes and the bow on the strip of paper.

Our Daily Bread - Snowflakes - The Create Joy saying seemed to be long in the circle and I think the snowflakes add just enough to fill the space.

I Did It - Surprise Me - Great theme name!   My Santa card is my surprise!

Scrappy Frog - Christmas - This is my 1st card this year with Santa!  I can't believe it.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card.  I hope you like it.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love reading them.

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.

Today's theme for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations is a great one!  Use you favorite technique.  There are so many great techniques out there.  I chose Masking.  Not only did I mask the image for the clouds but I used my masking tape to make the plaid background.  I have not done this for a while and forgot how fun it was.  I also embossed the red and blue CS which is another technique.  I used the cuttlebug folder for the blue and used my score buddy to make the design on the red.

In addition to a fun theme we have a great sponsor this week.  The Craft Room Door!  You can win a 1 year subscription to this wonderful magazine.  How cool is that!!

Merry & Bright

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good week.

This weeks challenge idea for Going Gray with Scrap-Creations is 3D.    I had this image colored for a few weeks and couldn't wait to use it.  I decided it would work for this challenge.  I cut out the shopping bag, the dog, the bow and then cut out the box with the dog one more time.  Once the card was done I decided it needed more 3D so I popped up the snowflakes.  Here is a pic showing the items popped up.

Another Fall Birthday!!

Happy Sunday!!  I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

This weeks theme at Stempeltraume is The Alphabet!!  I wasn't sure what I was going to do, then I remembered I needed to make a Birthday card for a friend of mine.  I tried a simple Monogram card but it just wasn't working for me so I dug out some old chipboard letters I have and made this.  I really liked the way it came out.  Originally I was not going for the distressed look but then I wanted to add some color around the oval and then wanted some green on the letters and when I layed it out thought that I needed to complete the look by distressing the CS & DP.

This was lot of fun.  You should join the fun and pick some letters and see what you can come up with!

There are alot of wonderful challenges out there.  Mine fits the following:

A Pocket Full of Posies - Autumn Leaves - Unfortunately the leaves where I live are not longer bright red and yellow but more of a dull orange and brown.  I love the fall colors I just wish they were around longer.

Crafty Calendar - Autumn Birthday - I have alot of Birthdays in Oct & Nov.  I always struggle with what to do for them so they don't look the same year after year.

Paper Play Time - Ribbon, Buttons or Rhinestones - I just got some beautiful lace ribbon and knew I had to use it on this card.

Creative Inspirations - Birthday - I don't see the friend getting this card often but she loves receiving my cards and tells me she saves them so I will always make her one.

The Townscrapper - Distressing  - I think distressing can add so much to a card.  I especially think that it adds to this one.

Crafty Creations - Sketch - I loved this sketch.  It calls for a circle in the middle but my saying wouldn't fit in a circle so I modified to an oval.  I think it was perfect for what I wanted to do.

For Fun - Something you never used. - I bought these chipboard letters a couple years ago thinking I would use them on everything.  I can't thing of anything until now I have used them on.

Sarah Hurly - Flowers - I love the look of layered flowers.  I bought these green roses a while ago and thought they would compliment this card and the other flowers perfectly.

Charisma - Autumn Colors - I love all the oranges and greens of Autumn - I wish the season was longer before we are talking snow.

Digi Doodle's Shop Best - Orange - When I think of the color Orange I think Fall!  I always like the way it looks on cards.

Paper Romance - Halloween or Fall - I usually make this friend bright pinks and blues.  I'm glad I went with Fall colors this time.

If the Shoe Fits - Distress - As I put in my post, this card was not intended to be distressed but as I was making it I just kept distressing it more.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Birthday - I have alot of Fall Birthdays and I wait until the last minute for most of them

Challenge up your Life - Autumn - Orange and Green are my favorite Autumn colors.

Secret Crafter - Distressing - I think that the distressing so much character to this card.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you like my card.  A special thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love reading all of them.

Winter Frost

Good Morning. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  It it beautiful here.  It is crisp, cool weekend and I love it!  After the hot summer I am enjoying this.

Today is Stempeltraume's challenge.  The theme today gives you a choice.  You can use a Tilda stamp or use the color brown.  As hard as it is to believe, I don't own any Tilda stamps so I decided to use Brown.   With the cooler weather I was in the mood to make a XMAS card.  This is one of the Lili of the Valley XMAS stamps.  Isn't she pretty?  The background paper is digi paper from Jak Heath.  It is beautiful and I couldn't wait to use it.  I also used my Viva Pearl pen on this card.  I need some more practice with it to keep the pearls a uniformed size but I do love the pen.

If you have a Tilda stamp play along!!  If not, brown is a great color for Fall and, as I used it, an accent for XMAS and winter cards so come join the fun!

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Charisma - XMAS - I love XMAS cards that sparkle and I think this would make a great XMAS card.

Daring Cardmakers - Opal & XMAS- Opal is such a pretty color.  I think my pearls give off the same creamy white that opals do.  I think this would make a great XMAS card!

Catch the Bug - Anything Goes - I do love this theme!!

Fussy and Fancy - Sketch - I love this sketch.  I hope my card does it justice.

Gingerloft - Glitter - I have alot of glitter on this card and if I could have, would have put more.

Paper Sundaes - Something from your stash -  The snowflake punch, the pearls on the snowflake, the ribbon, the stamp for the saying are all things from my stash of stuff.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you like my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I appreciate all of them.
