Happy Halloween

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  In the US we have a long weekend coming up and I am looking forward to it!

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  Kristen loves Halloween so we are celebrating early with a Halloween challenge.  I have seen some great Halloween stamps out there this year.  This is one I got as a freebie from Create 4 Fun.  Isn't this adorable!!!!  I had a blast coloring her.  I bought this paper Saturday on my LSS outing with friends and I love how it looks with this stamp.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Crafts & Me - Petals & Pearls - I love all the recollection pearl sets because of all the great colors they come in.  I bought the Orange thinking of Halloween cards.  I didn't have orange flowers so I thought it would look nice if I made them with the DP I used on the card.  I think they look cute.

Stampavie & More - Swirls - My image has swirly vines so I thought that putting one of my spellbinders swirls on the card would be a nice addition.

Digi Doodle's Shop Best - Distressing - I haven't distressed anything in a while so when I was trying to figure out how to add some dimension I thought distressing the purple CS would look good.

Hanna & Friends - Pearls & Swirls - I love that Pearls and Swirls can work on so many cards.  I tend to put swirls on Fancy girly cards but really like how they work on this card.

Moving along with the Times - 2 PP's, 3 flowers, 1 Ribbon - I love the 2 DP's I used on this card.  I made my own flowers because I couldn't find orange and didn't want to color white ones. I knew I had to add my orange polka ribbon because I love it!

Pixie Dust - Stitching.  I could add stitching to every card.  It's easy and I think it adds alot without being over done.

Paper Cutz - Metal - I have 2 metal brads on this card.  The 1st is the spider hanging from the hat and the 2nd is the Halloween which I was thrilled fit perfectly on the corner.

Our Daily Bread - Texture It - I have alot of texture on this card.  The Purple circle is embossed, the flowers, and the Glitter.

Cowgirl Sunday - Embellish with Flowers - I made my own flowers to match the card.

Stampin Sisters in Christ - Metal - I have 2 metal items on this card.  The spider hanging from the hat and the Halloween brad.

The Sweet Stop - Sketch - I wanted a sketch that would work well with my papers and this one was perfect.

Cupcake Craft - Lets Get Digital - I love digi stamps.  They are easy to use, and I don't have to wait when I buy them.  I love instant gratification!!

Stamps R Us - Stitches -  I love faux stitching.  When I think a card needs something one of the first things I think of is putting stitching on it.

Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter & Sparkle - I love Glitter - I put glitter on the hat band, around the edges of my goo punch, on the swirl and I sprayed the flowers with glitter spray.  I'm not sure you can see all of this in my picture but IRL it looks sparkly.

Thank you for visiting and looking at my card.  I hope you like it.  A huge thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I love reading them.

Hello Friend

Good Morning.  How is everyone today?  I am enjoying my weekend.  My week at work was a blur.  Very busy which is a really good thing these days.  Yesterday I got together with a few friends and took a road trip to a LSS that is an hour away from us.  We only go there a couple times a year.  I spent more than I budgeted, but then when don't I.  I came home with some copics and lots of paper.  They actually let us look through some new DP that they hadn't even opened yet.  I bought some beautiful winter paper I can't wait to use.

This week the theme for Stempeltraume is a sketch.  I always love their sketches.  This one was no different.  You should give it a try.  It is a very easy sketch to follow.

I feel that I always use the same punches so I dug out an old punch for this card.  I can't remember who makes the punch but I like it.  It can punch 4 different ways and I like it on this card.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Oh Alice - Girl card - I love this Girl from Sugar Nellie.  I think this would be perfect to mail to a girl to say Hi!

Bee Crafty - Anything Goes - I love having a challenge that always fits!

Marks Finest Papers - Friendship card. - I have some friends that don't live around me that I should stay in touch with more often.  This card will go to one of them.

Stamping for the Weekend - Anything Goes - Again, I love these challenges!

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Bold Bright Summer Colors - I wanted to make a bright card before I move into making all the Fall colored cards.

Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes - Yeah!  Another easy challenge to fit into!

Crafty Emma - Anything Goes - This is a new challenge blog.  I am happy to be able to participate in their 1st one!!

One Stitch at a Time - Girly with Color scheme -  I love these colors and I think this is a girly card!

Paper Players - Anything Goes - This is a new challenge for me and I see me playing in ti alot!

Thank you for visiting.  I appreciate it.  Thanks to everyone who leaves me a comment.  I love reading all of them.

Happy Birthday Bryan

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Today is the last day of my vacation.  Tomorrow it is back to work.  I had a nice vacation.  Unfortunately I didn't get as much done as I wanted but it was nice.  Yesterday I spend the day stamping with friends.  I always enjoy those days.

Today is the Stempeltraume challenge.  This weeks theme is to make a Male card.  The timing is perfect for me because my Nephew's Birthday was Thursday and this was the card I made for him.  Like so many others, I have problems making card for men.  I bought this truck from Fred, She Said.  I wanted to make it look old.   Pull out all your Male themed stamps and play along!!

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Creative Inspirations - Sketch - I was looking for a sketch like this to make this card.  I really liked this layout.

Anything Goes - 3 Layers - With Male cards I tend to put alot of layers to make up for the fact there are no frilly embellishments.

Once Upon a Time

Good Morning.  How's everyone's week going?  Mine is nice.  I am on vaca but at home so I just get to do what I want, when I want.  I love it!!

Today's Tuesday so that means the Going Grey with Scrap Creations challenge.  This week's theme is Fairy Tales and Digital Delights is sponsoring us!!!  Get out all that Glitter and Fairy Tale theme stamps and play along!  You can win!  Remember the one rule is that you use Basic Grey paper but other than that you are free to create whatever you want!

The other wonderful challenges this fits are:

One Stitch at a Time - Pack a Punch - I love punches and die cuts.  I used the MS punch across the paper and layered my Spellbinders for the princess to sit on.

The Crafty Pad - Glitz and Glitter - I thought the princess needed glitter so I glittered her dress and hat.  That wasn't enough so I glittered around the edge of the spellbinder die cuts.

The Pink Elephant - Ribbons and Sparkles - I have glitter on the image and around the die cuts and I but ribbon on top of the MS punched edging.

The Res-Q - Smile - You needed to have a smile on your image or the word smile on the card.  My princess is smiling...

Stamp Something - Fairy Tales - Who would have thought that there would be another Fairy Tales challenge.

Frosted Designs - This was such a neat challenge.  There is a list of 10 ingredients and you need to use 5 of them.  I used a Punch, Purple, Glitter, Ribbon, Flowers.

Waltzingmouse Sketch - I loved the simplicity of this sketch.  I thought I could highlight the princess well with it.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my card.  Thanks to everyone who comments.  I appreciate reading them.

There's always something to sing about

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  For me it is the start of a week off of work!! YEAH!!  It has been crazy at work lately so I am looking forward to a week of relaxation.  I hope to get some images colored, cards made, and some stuff done around the house that I have been neglecting.   Of course I started with the card making, not the getting things done around the house.  Yesterday I had a funeral to go to and when I got home I couldn't get motivated to do anything so I started viewing You Tube video's to make your own flowers.  The flower on this card was from one of the video's.  I wanted to use some images I have bought that have not been made into a card yet.  This Kenny K image is one of them.  I really like his images and couldn't wait to color her.

The challenges this card fits are:

Kenny K - Bold and Bright - I love the bright pinks and blues on this card.

Fab & Funky - Use Favorite Colors - I love blues and pinks.  I really like the bright ones on this card.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch - I think that this worked well with the papers and image.

Pixie Dust Studio- Pretty in Pink - Most of the card needs to be pink and I have alot of pink on my card.

The Beary Scrap - Stitches - I love faux stitching.  I put it on the pin and blue DP's to add some white to the card.

Craftalicious - Pearls & Swirls - I have the pearls on the corners, of the pink & blue DP and I put a big pearl in the middle of my flower.

I Did It - Anything Goes - I love when someone picks this theme!

If the Shoe Fits - Die Cuts - I love my spellbinders!  I used the ovals and the circles on this card.

All Sorts - Paper piercing or piecing - I chose piercing to give my faux stitching a more realistic look

Crazy for Challenges - Music - This little lady is listening to her ipod.

My Partner in Crafting Crime - Teens or Tweens - What teenager doesn't walk around around with an ipod of some sort stuck in their ears.

Paper Romance - Pink & Bling - 2 things I love!  My bling are the pearls and glitter on the flower and I used hot pink as my main color on this card.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card!  I hope to be able to post more this week.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I love reading them and appreciate all the nice things people have to say.

Peggy.

Back to School

For all you Mom's out there....it's almost time for the kids to go back to school!  I was out this weekend running errands and everywhere I went people were buys school supplies.  Ah...what fun..

If you already haven't guessed, the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations theme this week is Back to School!  I found this cute image from  Elizabth O Dulemba.  I thought it was adorable and decided to use it for this challenge.  As you know, to participate in the Going Grey challenge you must use Basic Grey paper.  Since I couldn't find any back to school theme I decided on this paper from the new Oliver pack.  I love this pack of paper.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Little Red Wagon - Circles, Circles Circles - I have the circles behind my image and the buttons I used are circles.

S2G - Back to School - Yes it is that time of year when Summer is coming to an end and the kids go back to School.

Dutch Dare - Anything Goes - I love the easy ones!!!
Fairy Fun Friday - Frame a circle - I thought this was such a neat theme.  I just wish I had larger spellbinder circles but I did my best.
Stamping for the Weekend - Back to School - I guess all the Mom's out there that are picking themes have school on the mind!

Crafty Catz - Buttons and Bows - Since I didn't have any embellishments that were school related I decided to go with buttons.  I hope my tie on the side is considered a bow.  The colors in this card say Boy so I didn't want to put a real bow.
Sketch Saturday - Sketch - I liked this sketch but once again wish I had the larger Spellbinders dies

By the Cute & Girly - Animals - I love this little mouse.  I thought he looked so cute with all the books.

Penny's - Anything Goes - Thanks!  I agree with everything everyone has going on it is nice to see an easy challenge

Thank you for taking the time to visit and look at my card.  I appreciate it.  I also love all comments.  They put a smile on my face.

The Light

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend. The weather is beautiful here.....finally.  It is sunny and the humidity has dropped.  I couldn't wait to open my windows and enjoy the day!

Today Stempeltraume had a great challenge.  We needed to make something with the following Song text as the inspiration.
"Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
Ooo, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels - yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom
A light hits the gloom on the grey"

I decided to use this Rose stamp from Cowgirl Stamps.  I won their challenge a few weeks ago and this was the stamp I picked.  I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  I couldn't decide what to put for a sentiment and like they were reading my mind TLC posted this freebie.
The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Our Creative Corner - It's embossible - I love embossing and I really love my new rose embossing folder that I used on this card.
Raise the Bar - Pearly Whites - I love Pearls and I put them all over this card.
Tanda - Rose without Thorns -  I Think this rose stamp could be used for so much. Birthdays, Anniversaries etc.
Truly Scrumptious - Sketch.  I thought this was a really pretty sketch to use on this card.
Digital Tuesday - 2 digi's from 2 companies - One of my Digi's is from Cowgirl and the other is from TLC

Paper Sundaes - Metal - I love my charms and I used the heart one on this card.

Sarah Hurley Challenge - Romance - Great theme - I think Roses say love and romance so I am entering my card.

Stamp & Create - Flowers - I love putting flowers on all my cards.  This time I used them as an image also.

Thank you for visiting.  I really appreciate it.  I hope you like my card.  A huge thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I really love reading them.

Inspiration

Happy August 1st.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It was beautiful here yesterday!  Dry and in the 70's.  Perfect weather!  It is suppose to be a little warmer today but still not a bad day!

Today is the Stempeltraume challenge.  This weeks theme is an inspiration challenge.  What does this picture say to you?  I wanted to match the color of the flowers. I'm not sure I did a great job.  I thought the pinkish red color was so pretty and I tried different copics to capture it.  Let's see what you can do!!!
I have made 4 cards this week so I have used many of the challenges out there this week but I did use a sketch for this challenge.

Papertake - Sketch - I thought this sketch worked well with the papers and my image.

Thank you for stopping by.  I appreaciate all the kind comments on my cards

Peggy
