Smile

Happy Sunday of a long weekend!  Yesterday was nice here most of the day.  We had a few showers in the afternoon.  Today and tomorrow is going to be hot (high 80's).  I have a wedding to go to today.  I hope the AC is working at the reception.

Today is the Stempeltraume weekly challenge.  The theme this week is swirls.  I decided to use this stamp by Karen's Doodles.  I thought that the vine fit the theme well.  I then used my swirls from Spellbinders.  You should join us.  Swirls is an easy theme!

The other wonderful challenges this fits are:

Karen's Doodles - Stitching - I stitched around the pieces of DP

Just us Girls - Dry Embossing - Remember the days before the embossing folders?  I love embossing and still have alot of stencils.  I embossed the purple CS.

One Stop - Swirls and Pearls - I love both and have my spellbinders swirls and the pearls all over the place

Sweet Stampin - Pimp your card -Lots of embellishments and bling - I have pearls everywhere on this card and lots of glitter.

Polka Doodles - Sew Sew - I faux stitched around both pieces of DP

Truly Scrumptious - Sketch.  I really liked this sketch when I saw it and thought if I turned it on it's side it would work with this.

Quixotic - Emboss it! I embossed the purple paper using my cuttlebug dot folder

Totally Gorjuss - Wings - I cut out and glittered the wings on the butterfly and did the same for the bee

One Stitch at a Time - Something New.  My new is the DP.  I went to a convention a couple of weeks ago and bought this Melissa Francis paper.  It is beautiful.

Thank you for visiting me.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  They make my day and I love reading them.

Create Joy

Happy Tuesday!  I hope that is cooler where you are.  Today is suppose to hit 90 degrees here.  I like warm, but not Hot!!!   Luckily it is suppose to cool down tomorrow.

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  This week is a sketch and to use Basic Grey paper.  It was a really easy sketch to work with and who doesn't have Basic Grey paper?   We also have a wonderful sponsor, Stampotique Originals.  They have a wonderful variety of stamps.  I would say they have something for everyone.  I picked Arty.  Isn't she adorable!  She has paint brushes in her hand or you can say she has Copics.  When I saw her I said "that's the one for me"!  You can see a sampling of the different variations of stamps by checking out all the DT cards.  Once again, they did a fabulous job.

Kristen Catalano - Scrap Creations
Crystal Irwin

The other wonderful challenges this card fits into are:

Pile it On - Out of the Box - I choose Paper Piecing because it is something I don't normally do even though I do like it when I see it on other people creations.

Basic Grey - Punch It! - I love punches.  I punched the center piece (all 3 papers) and the corners.

Hanna & Friends - Photo Inspiration - It was a beautiful picture of a house on the water.  I choose my inspiration from the colors.  There was blue (water), green (grass), and  beige (walkway)

Stamptacular - Pearls & Swirls - I have pearls everywhere and used my new BG paper with the swirls in the background.
The Diva Stamper - Photo Inspiration - When I first looked at the photo of Makeup and the Makeup bag I saw the makeup.  We use makeup to make us look good and feel good.  Stamping makes me feel good by relaxing me and taking my mind of everything else.  I picked Arty because she is a crafter which is where my inspiration came from.  Great Photo!

Thanks for stopping by.  I really love all the comments people leave me.  Thank you to everyone who takes a moment to tell me what they think.

Happy Birthday

Good Morning!  How is everyone doing?  The weather here for the last few days has been beautiful.  Today is going to be cloudy but it will be a good day for me to get some things done around the house.

Today is the new challenge for Stempeltraume.  The theme this week is Round.  Great theme!!  I tore apart my stamping space looking for some scallop cards I bought a long time ago and still can't find them so I made my own.  The only problem is that even with my biggest scallop from Spellbinders I can't seem to fit words on the card.   This was a really fun card to make.  You should join us!  You can win a prize and have fun at the same time!

This is another stamp I bought from Paper Jewels.  Her name is Tossa.  I thought with her chubby face she would be perfect for the Round challenge.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Charisma - 3D.  The buttons and flowers I believe make this 3D

Spoonful of Sugar - Cute & Girly - This little lady is both cute and girly.

Crafty Creation - Happy Birthday! - another Birthday challenge.  I know I would love to get this as a Birthday card.

C.R.A.F.T. - Happy Birthday! - More great minds thinking alike!!  I have alot of Birthday's coming up so I'm starting early!

Cupcake Craft - Blooming Charming - I love the Rose and the heart charm I have on this card.  I think they both add alot to the look of the card.

Thank you for visiting me.  Thank you to everyone who leaves comments.  I love all of them.

A Simple Hello

Happy Friday!  The Weekend is near!! This is the last weekend I have for the next month that I don't have something planned that will take me away from the house for at least a day.  Wow!  I'm going to relax and enjoy it!  I hope to get some coloring done and cards made!!

Last weekend I colored this new image I got from Paper Jewels.  It is one of the new Sweet Pea images by Lisa Victoria.  When I saw him I knew I had to have him.  I love the sweet, kindof goofy look on his face. I stamped 2 of them and cut out the flower and lady bug off the 2nd one and them popped them up on the original.  I purposely layered the flower so it would look like it had more petals.

The challenges this card fits are:

Lili of the Valley - Sketch.  The moment I saw this I knew it would be perfect for this image.

Stamp for the Weekend - Make someone smile.  I hope this cute dinosaur makes you smile.  He does it for me.

Stamp Something - 2 of something - I have 2 embellishments (flowers and pearl) and I used 2 stamps!

Practical Scrappers - Pattern Paper - I love PP!!!  I love PP!!!  Can I say that enough???

Pixie - Pearls - I love pearls.  I used red ones on this card

S2G - Favorite Color - I love Blue!!! I really love these blue Copic colors

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Fav Color and Glitter - Blue and I put glitter on the flower he is holding and on his wings

Thank you for visiting.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I really love to read them!

Hoppy Birthday

Good Morning.  Hope everyone is well.  The weather here has been gorgeous and I have been enjoying it!  This is one of the reasons I like working from home.  I can open the windows and enjoy the weather.

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  The theme this week is Child Creations. We also have a great sponsor this week.  Glitterbabe Art Shop!!

You can win 2 images from her shop!!! How cool is that!!  She has the cutest images and I love cute!  She gave the DT's an image to play with and I chose this cute frog.  I love the look on his face.  I found this lily pad on the web and thought he would be cute sitting on it. Play along!  All you need to do is make a childs card or project and use Basic Grey paper.  It is easy!!!

You need to check out the work of the other DT's.  They did an amazing job with their images.

Kristen Catalano (Scrap Creations)

The other wonderful challenges this card meets are:

KL Stamping - Show our animals some love - Okay I'm not going to go outside and start hugging frogs....but if they were this cute....

All Sorts - Birthday - I was trying to think of a cute saying to go with this card and I thought Hoppy Birthday was cute for a kid.

The Req-Q challenge - Super Foods - I always love these themes.  You needed to read the list of super foods and use one as an inspiration.  I choose Kiwi's because of the color (I also like them).

Stamp Something - Celebrate - We all celebrate Birthdays!  Especially for kids!!

Sketch Saturday - This is the sketch I used for this card.  I liked this layout for what I was doing.

Little Red Wagon - Brads - I love brads.  I seem never to even get mine put away before I'm pulling them out again.  I used them on the corners and in the middle of the flowers.

Penny's - Recipe - 2 PP, 1 Ribbon, 3 Embellishments - I really like recipe challenges.  I used 2 BG papers, a ribbon on the top and 3 flowers.

Ooh La La - Bright and Cheerful - I think the Pink and Green on this card is bright and the look on the frogs face makes me smile when I look at him so it is cheerful

AI Factory - Celebration and add sparkle - Birthdays are a wonderful reason to celebrate and what is a card without sparkle.  I added glitter to the crown, flower and a little to the water.

Cuttlebug - Kids at heart - Make a card or project for kids.  This is a birthday card for any kid.

Thanks for stopping by.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I love reading them.

Thoughts of You

Good Morning everyone.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I spent yesterday shopping.  I work from home so I don't buy alot of dresses or even dressy things anymore.  I have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks and I don't think she would like me to show up in my regular attire of sweats or shorts.  This is the 2nd mall I have been to trying to find something I like.  I find that the older I get the more I hate clothes shopping.  This was no exception.  I found a dress but don't love it.  I would rather have spent the day at my LSS.

Anyway enough complaining.  Today is the Stempeltraume challenge.  This week is a sketch.  I loved it!!!  It was easy to do and was made for me to use my new Heartfelt Creations stamps that you can layer and make flowers.  What do you think??  This set also fits a spellbinders set so you can either use that to cut them out or cut them out by hand.  I am still having some problems lining them up so I cut these out by hand.  They were really simple.

The other wonderful challenges this fits are:

Cute Card Thursday - Someone Special - I think I am going to send this to a really good friend I worked with of mine who retired last week.   I really miss her and have been thinking about her alot this week.  I hope she is enjoying her retirement.

Pixie - Cut it out - I cut out my new flowers.  I really want to try more of this.

For Fun - Use an Old Stamp - Old is relative. Right?  This stamp is over a year old so I thought it fit.  I really like my Sugar Nellie stamps

Quixotic - Use DIY Flowers - I made these flowers and now I want to try to make others that I have not tried.

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Cut it out and pop it up.  I first thought of my image and then thought of my flowers.  I cut out the flowers and then put a pop dot between each one to give dimension.

If the She Fits - Rain or Shine - I pick Shine!!  I can't wait to be out in the sunshine planting my flowers.

Simple Doodles - You are on my mind - I love this theme!  My friend who retired is on my mind this week.  I miss talking to her.

Crafty Catz - Pearl & Petals - I made these flowers and put the pearls in the middle

One Stop - Summer Breeze - This stamp reminds me of a summer day when I am out working on my flowers.

Sweet Stampin - Get Personal - This was to make a card for someone special.  I made this for a person who was my friend at work for many years.  She retired and I want to send her something to say I miss her and I'm thinking of her.

Prairie Fairy Fridays - Flowers - This was easy.  I love flowers on my cards.  I don't care if they are stamped, silk or paper

Something Completely Different - Flowers - Yes it is the time of year for flowers!!!  Can't wait to plant mine.

Thank you for stopping by.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a message.  I really enjoy reading them.

It's Tuesday so it is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  This week's theme is Animals.  I chose this cute mouse from  Kraftin Kimmie.  We all have animal stamps.  You should play along.  I would love to see what you create.

You need to check out the great creations from the other DT's.

Kristen Catalano (Scrap Creations)

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:
Stamp with Fun - Sketch - I was happy to see I could use this image with this sketch.   I liked the simplicity of it.

Lexi's Creations - Animals - I bought this stamp a while ago.  I was happy to use it!

Crafty Calendar - The great outdoors - Roasting marshmellows on an open fire says camping!!  I'm not a camper but it reminds me of my Girl Scout days.

The Creative Cottage - Food or Drink - I love toasted marshmellows especially with chocolate and graham crackers (s'mores).

Totally Papercrafts - Stitching - I love faux stitching.  I actually love the real thing but mine never looks good.

My Time to Craft - Too Cute - This is why I bought this stamp.  It is just so cute.

Practical Scrappers - Punches - I used the MS leaf punch and the spellbinders swirl die on this card.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves comments.  I appreciate all of them.

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  This week has flown by for me.

So....if you have mushroom stamps ....play along!!  You can win some great stamps!  You should also go to the Stempeltraume blog and check out what the other DT's have done.  They do some amazing work.

Scatter Sunshine

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Mary and I went to the CK convention yesterday.  We had alot of fun.  It wasn't big but it was fun to walk around and see what everyone was selling.  The weather here was beautiful and it was nice to get out of the house.

Today is the  Stempeltraume challenge.  The weather here has really put me in the mood for this weeks theme of Summerfeeling.  I can't believe Summer is right around the corner.  I chose this digi from Pollycraft  for the challenge.  I have ducks in a pond near me and in the summer is is not unusual that we all have to stop in the road for them to pass.  Some stop right in the middle of the road and just stare at you.  If they weren't so cute it wouldn't be funny but you can't help to laugh when they do this.  I also thought that the yellow and blue were real summer colors.

You should play along.  It's easy to make a card to put you in the mood for summer.  You can win a prize too!  How fun is that!

The other wonderful challenges this fits are:

Friday Sketchers - Sketch.  I thought is was the best sketch for this challenge.

All Sorts - Animals - I love the ducks on this card.

Crafty Catz - Spots - I love polka dot paper. I used both the blue & the yellow on this card.

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Going Dotty - Again, I love polka dots.

Paperplay - Pretty Pastels - I always go to the pastels first.  I really like the blue and yellow combo on this.

Thanks for stopping by.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a message.  I love reading what you have to say.
