Weather got you down?

Happy Wednesday!  The week is half over!!  This weekend I am going to the CK scrap convention.  I actually hope it is not great so I don't spend too much $$....but....

This is another card I made Sunday on my day with stamping friends.  I love ducks.  I think Duncan is so cute.

The challenges this fits are:

Sew Many - Anything Goes - This was great because I just picked one of the images I have not colored yet!!

Creative Card Crew - April showers.  I love images that have umbrellas for some reason so I love this theme!

Bee Crafty - Whole lotta fun - You need to use a digi image and have wholes on your project.  I have a punch that looks like bubbles and I used in on my background piece to add to the bubble cuttlebug folder.

Stamptacular - Create something for someone special with sewn effects - Everyone here has been complaining because the weather was going to get cold and rainy.  When I made this card I was thinking about that.  I can send this card to alot of people that are special to me that live in the area and are waiting for the nice weather to come and stay.  I think the bright yellow duck will brighten their day. I put faux stitching  around the edge.

Crafty Calendar - Fun or Humorous - I think this is a fun card.  I mean when do you ever see a duck with an umbrella?

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch - I thought this sketch worked well with what I was trying to achieve.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card.  Thank you to everyone who leaves a comment.  I look forward to reading them all.

Sweet Kisses

Good Morning everyone.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  I have had an awful headcold.  I usually get one bad cold a year and I never had one this winter.  I guess my body decided it would surprise me and wait until Spring.

Today is Tuesday which means Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge.  This week is a sketch.  When I started this card I wasn't sure I would like it but I ending up loving how it came out.  You can use any image you want as long as you follow the sketch and use Basic Grey paper.  Come and join the fun!

Take a look at what the other creative DT's did.

Lisa Summerville (guest designer for April)

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

One Stitch at a Time - Flowers- I found these crocheted flowers I bought a couple years ago.  I thought they would look so pretty with the little roses laying on top of them.

Nutshells - Spring Theme - I have alot of birds around my home.  I can tell it's Spring because they sing all day long.

Raise the Bar - Favorite Color - I thought that if I did this challenge it would be Blue but Sunday I got together with some friends for a day of stamping and at the end of the day I looked over at the cards I made and every one was PINK.  I couldn't believe I made all the cards the same color. I guess Pink was my favorite color that day.  Actually looking back on my blog, Pink is a favorite alot.

Res - Q - Inspiration - This was a neat challenge.  They linked you to umbrellas for sale and you needed to pick one for your inspiration.  I went right to the one called Pink Flamingos!

Crafty Cardmakers - Desert Island.  This was fun.  The challenge was if you were marooned on a desert island for 6 months what crafty items would you take.  I went for a day of stamping on Sunday and had all my MUST HAVES with me even thought I would always like to pack up my entire room.  What came with me was CS, DP, Flowers, ribbon, brads, pearls, all my nesties and cuttlebug folders.  This is, of course in addition to stamps and copics to color them.  I brought a bunch more stuff I can't think of right now but the items above are my fav's.

Creative Belli - Die cut shapes - What did we ever do without nesties!!  I love all of them and the ovals and scallops fit this card perfectly

Penny's - Anything Goes - This is a new challenge that I found.  I'm glad they had an open theme so I could participate.

Well I'm going to keep this short.  My head is all cloudy and I need to take some more drugs.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love reading them.

Happy Birthday

Good Morning.  I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I am heading off today for a day of stamping with Friends.  These days are so much fun.  The only think I hate is the packing.  I want to bring everything but really try to concentrate on the things I know I will use.  I think I did well this time.  We will see what happens the 1st time I say "I wish I had brought....."

It is Sunday so that means it is a new Stempeltraume challenge.  Today's theme is Animals!  My biggest challenge was what Animal to use.  I decided on this Sassy Cheryl freebie!  I just fell in love with him when I saw it.  We all have animal stamps.  Play along!  You can win a prize for just doing what you love!

The other wonderful challenge themes this card meets are:

Secret Crafter - Distressing - I distressed the edges of the CS.  I think it really looks good with the colors that I chose for this.

Dare you to digi - Flowers - This was easy.  The bear is holding flowers and I added flowers at the bottom.

Simple Doodles - Not a spring Chicken - You need to use something that is old.  Mine are the dew drops.  I bought a whole bunch of these when they first came out and I never use them.  I'm not sure why but they are not something I ever pick up.  The ribbon is also old.  I found it at the bottom of my ribbon holder.  I had just enough to make this bow.

S2G - Spring has sprung with Flowers - At my house one of the things that says Spring are the Bees.  I have a real problem with them every year.  Unfortunetly they are not as cute as the one on this card.  I love the flowers that this bear is holding.  It looks like he just picked them from the garden.

Fab & Funky - Get it all out - These challenges are a challenge for me because I always want to use my new stuff but .... I really needed something different than brads or pearls so I used my dew drops.  I can't remember the last time I put these on a card.  I used 8 on this card which is good to use up some of my stash of them.

Crafty Creations - Distressing - I distressed the CS.  I have always liked a distressing on cads.  It adds texture without adding additional items.  I thought it fit well with this card.

Everybody Art - Sketch.  - I loved this sketch when I saw it.  Once I picked the stamp to use for this weeks challenge I knew I could use this sketch.  I love the way this came out.

Creative Card Crew - Happy Birthday - I thought this would make a cute Birthday card.  The Bear with the flowers reminds me of kids when they pick the flowers in the backyard and give them to you like they are a bouquet of roses.

A Spoonful of Sugar - Happy Birthday - This is the one time of the year I have no family Birthdays.  I guess this card will go into my file for the future.  It's always good to have them already made.

Pile it on - Spring - Flowers and Bees - Hello Spring!  I love flowers, and hate the bees they attract but this one is cute and can't sting me.

Stamp with Fun - Animals - I love this little bear.  I couldn't wait to use him!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you like my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  I love hearing from everyone.

It's Fun Being a Kid

Happy Tuesday! I'm happy to say we actually saw some sun yesterday!  It is still cool here but that is normal for this time of year in the Northeast US.

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap Creations challenge. The theme today is to use 3 embellishments. My 3 are the brads, ribbon and charm. You should play along! Everyone has embellishments. The challenge this week is sponsored by Stamp N Plus Scrap N. You can win some of these adorable stamps. They have a wide variety of images that will fit everyone's tastes!!  They were kind enough to supply us with images to use in this weeks challenge. I picked this little guy fishing. Isn't he adorable? The minute I saw him I thought he would be so cute with a little scene. You also have a couple more days to join in their Blog Hop and win there too!  All the details are on their blog.

Check out what the other DT's did with their images.

Lisa Summerville - Guest Designer for April

The other challenges this card fits are:

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch - Making a scene means making a bigger focal area.  I was happy to see that this sketch would work with this.

Secret Crafter - A Day Out - How perfect!  I never thought there would be a challenge to fit this card so perfectly.

All Sorts - Stitching - I love faux stitching.  Actually I love real stitching better but I'm too lazy to do that.

Quixontic - Heavy Metal - I bought these cute dragonfly charms this weekend and thought one would look cute on this card.

Something Completely Different - D - Dragonfly - I thought a little boy fishing needed a bug on the card so I used my charm

Sweet Stampin - In Stitches - Faux or real stitching or something that makes us laugh.  I went with the faux stitching around the edges of the card.  I thought the card needed something else and the stitching worked well.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you like my card.  Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment.  It is great to sit and read them.

Thinking of you

It's Sunday again! Wow do the weeks seem to be flying by. We are having a dark, dreary and cold few days her in the Northeast. That is why my picture is not great for this card. IRL this is alot brighter.

Today's Stempeltraume challenge is Flowers and Yellow. I used this digi by Paper Ink Color. I loved this image. You can't see it in the picture but I popped up the wings of the butterfly. I really like this card. It is so bright and airy. I wish our weather here would take the hint.

The other wonderful challenges my card fits are:

I love Digi - Sketch - I was so happy to see this sketch. I knew It would accent this image perfectly

S2G - Inspiration - I choose the Blue, Yellow, Green from the colors and the flowers on the bike as my inspiration.

Cute Card Thursday -Touchy Feely/Texture - I really don't like plain CS so I embossed the yellow, put glitter on the flowers and popped up the butterfly wings to give my card texture.

ABC - S is for Sparkle - I love glitter! I especially love to put it on flowers and butterflies as I did on this card.

Little Red Wagon
- Dry Embossing - Remember the days when you needed to spend time tracing all the images with a stencil and tool. I love my embossing folders!!

Other Lovlies - Embellishments - I don't know if I can make a card without embelleshments! This card has brads, flowers and ribbon

For Fun - Just Because - I could think of so many sayings to use for this card but settled on Thinking of You because the yellow made me want to brighten someones day.

Stamp Something - Layers - I love layers. I can't remember the last time I made a card without layers.

Totally Papercrafts
- Spring - This card reminds me that Spring is coming, even thought it isn't there yet.

Res-Q
- Pastels and use an image that makes you smile- This image does make me smile and I couldn't imagine making it in colors other than pastels.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card. Thank you to everyone who leaves me a message. I love reading all the comments.

Laundry & Housework & Children

OH MY!! Don't you love this saying! My sister, Mary, told me about this great website called Create with TLC which has wonderful sayings. Many of them are free, this being one of them. I knew the moment I saw this that I had to color this Greeting Farm image.

I had problems matching papers with the colors I chose for her dress. I hate when I can't find the right papers for my copic colors but I loved the way this image came out. I wanted dust to be coming from her duster so I put some stickles on it. I don't know about you but my duster always has glitter on it from my card making.

The challenges this fits are:

Papertake - Cutie Pie - IMHO I think this really cute!!

My Time to Craft -Pretty Pearls - what card doesn't look good with pearls?

Magical Crafts - Animal Antics - I love this little bunny!!

One Stitch at a Time - Distressing - I don't know if it shows up on your computer but I inked the edges and roughed up the bottom CS of the image saying and side/bottom pieces.

All Sorts - Petals and Pearls - In addition to Pearls I would put flowers on every card I make if I could.

C.R.A.F.T.
- Buttons - Again, love the buttons on this card.

Roses on Paper - Layers - I don't know if I could make a card without layers.

Crafty Angels - My Favorite Things - Cute images, flowers and pearls! I love all of these on this card!

Handful of Stamps - Digi it!! I do love my digi's. Buy them, use them!!

Paper Cutz - 3 Pattern Papers - I love DP and I love when multiple fits on a card.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card. Thanks to everyone who leaves a message. I love reading all of them.

April Showers

Good Morning. How is everyone today? It's cool in the Northeast these days. I guess that is normal for this time of year but I could use it a few degrees warmer.

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap Creations challenge. This weeks theme is April Showers. I couldn't wait for this theme. I love images with umbrellas. I chose this stamp from High Hopes to make my card. I think this Ant is so cute. This is an easy challenge for everyone. April Showers can bring May Flowers so you can do flowers or garden. C'mon and join the fun!!

The DT's did some an amazing job this week. You need to check them out.

Mary Castonguay

and our special guest designer for April

Lisa Somerville

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Stamptacular - Spots & Dots -I love my white pen. I thought the umbrella needed something so I added dots. I wanted the boots to match so I added there also.

The Corrosive - Texture - I added crystal effects to the raindrops, puddle, umbrella and flowers to look wet.

Crafty Catz - Sketch. The great thing about this sketch was that I could easily turn it upside down so my saying was at the top of the card.

Challenge up your life
- April weather - It always rains in April here in the Northeast.

Res Q - This was a neat theme. There is a word puzzle with the hints. I choose Blue, Pink, Rain.

For Fun - April Showers - How can you make it through April without this theme.

Ooh La La
- April Showers - Perfect these days for the Northeast

Tallen's Place - It's all about you! I'm looking outside and it looks like it is going to rain any time now so that's about me today!

Something Completely Different
- The letter B - Boots, Blue, and Brads on my card

The Crazy Challenge - Don't call me flat - I love popping things up and this card is no different. I popped the image, flowers and saying.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my card. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to everyone who leaves a comment. I enjoy reading all of them.

Welcome

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a good Easter. I spent time with family. The weather was beautiful so all in all it was a nice day.

Today is the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge. Today's theme is Sew Cute. All you need to do is make a card with a cute image and use Basic Grey paper! Today there is an added incentive to play. Sew Many Cards is sponsoring the challenge!! You could win 5 free images of your choice from Sew Many Cards! They were kind enough to give the DT's an image to show you. This is the one I picked. She is called Tayla in the tree. Isn't she cute. Please check out the other DT's to see the wonderful job they did with their images.

Hopes Stamp Eternal - Inspiration - When I finished my card I thought this wouldn't fit any color challenges then I say the image at Hopes. I just laughed. You have to look closely to see some of the colors but they are there.

My Time to Craft - New Baby - The first time I saw this image I thought wouldn't that make a cute baby card but didn't have any need to make one so I didn't buy it. When offered the free image I thought that this would be too cute to pass up.

Week 2 - We need your help again!!

Thanks to everyone who voted for The New Englanders last week on The Greeting Farm contest. We made it to Round 2!! We need your help again. This week it was Mary's turn and as you can see she made an amazing Easel Card which was this weeks theme.

If we make it to Round 3 it will be my turn. Help us get there! If you like Mary's card just leave a comment on the card and it will be your vote. You can vote on 3 cards. I hope you think one of the votes should be ours. Here is the link to the cards. Your help is appreciated!

The Greeting Farm Contest

Spring is Here!!

Happy Easter everyone. I hope everyone has a good day. It is suppose to be a great day here. It is going to be in the mid 70's. I only shut off my heat a few days ago because it was so cold here. I can't believe how beautiful it is now.

Today's theme for the Stempeltraume is Just Girls. I have so many girl stamps so I loved this theme. If you like challenges you need to check this out. The other DT's do great work, their themes are fun and you could win some great prizes! I picked this image from Sugar Nellie because it had never seen ink. Every time I tried to buy it last year it was out of stock. When I placed an order this winter I saw that they had it so I had to buy it. I used Tim Holtz new paper on this card! I wish you could see it better. I absolutely love it. It is all double sided, comes in different sizes and colors. I think this paper will fit well with so many of my stamps.

The other challenges this card fits are:

Annabelles - Say it with flowers. I love this daisy and the way this little lady looks like she is giving it to someone.

Daring Card Makers - Diamonds - The sparkly rain drops are actually fingernail art I bought in the $1 bin at JoAnns. I thought they would make great raindrops or tears.
The shiny flower is from CTMH that I have had in my stash for a while.

Fab & Funky - Spring is in the Air - I am happy now that the weather is nice enough for me to open my windows and enjoy the weather!

For Fun - Anything Goes - I love these themes!!

Little Red Wagon - Rolling into Spring - What says spring better than flowers and bare feet!

Crafty Creations - Anything Goes - These themes are great because I can use anything I want and fit the theme!

ABC - R is for Red - The paper I used is called Rose Red from SU.

Everybody Art - Spring - Love the sunshine and nice weather and love to make my spring cards!

Truly Scrumptious - Sketch - I loved this sketch. I knew I had to find a way to use it. The optional theme was fly away but I thought adding more to this card would be too much.

Stamptacular - Just for girls! I wouldn't say gardening is just for girls but I think this card with the girl picking the daisy is!

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my art! Thank you to everyone who leaves a comment. I love reading them. It's nice to know people like what I love creating.
